I am as eager as anyone for this game to come out but coming on here moaning when the guys are trying to create a classic game is pointless, as someone said they owe you nothing. make your own game if your so impatient!

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd take a moment to post a well thought-out response.

The original planned date was something the team had in mind at the time given the amount of features that were completed. During that time a lot of changes happened, for the positive - partnerships, team growth, and new ideas.

This process is only partly software related. Another part involves the challenges and accomplishments that occur from being a startup. While things like Kickstarter may not have worked out, the truth is that not reaching a goal means no harm was done. It was simply an avenue that was tried.

When it comes to social media, the layers of interaction there are a necessary evil; and we do leverage those channels for broad communication of what is going on. Still, our forum members are extremely valuable to us. Your excitement for what we are doing with PerfectGolf keeps us going.

Communication is key. The least we can do is keep our core audience informed; and that is a mission of ours. We have no explanation other than we've been distracted; and the more general news and press releases, along with social media blasts, should hopefully give an indication that not only are good things happening, but big things. We've established very high standards for ourselves. We're very proud of what the team has done up to this point to get us where we are today; and to maintain this level of quality we know it's going to take some more time to get there. We're humbled by this but we're up for the challenge. We fully understand various distribution models and we're doing our best to make we have a core set of features that are polished, while things that can wait get cut for a future release. Right now we're 'letting the jell-o settle' so speak.

With that said, we aren't going anywhere; and we're making some changes to keep you more informed in the future.

Just know we're doing our best for a product we believe in. None of it would matter if it wasn't for the passion you show. Thanks for sticking with us!

Thanks for your words, Richard. Well thought-out, indeed, very lavish in noble intent but exceedingly frugal with facts. Promises of a brighter future to help us endure a somewhat uninspired present?

Okay, so we'll keep waiting around a bit more. Sure, no problem. Communication is key? Who knew?

@Kablammo11

We don't see it as an uninspired present. Even though not much has been said, we think things like motion captured animations and being Greenlit on Steam are very inspiring.

Hopefully many of you will agree...

Being Greenlit on Steam is good....... as long as something happens.

On 24th March on Steam, 'Perfect Parallel' posted a comment:-

Thanks everyone! We are Greenlit! We really appreciate your votes and getting us to the next level. We are filling out the paperwork and will work as fast as we can to get our goodies into your hands. Once again thanks for the support. See you in the Perfect Golf World soon :)

On 25th March on Steam, 'Perfect Parallel' posted an announcement:-

Thanks everyone! We are working hard to get all of our paperwork together, and the API's figured out! More updates real soon!

Since those posts - nothing else on Steam. also reading recent posts by Mike J, it seems we are still quite a way off getting anything out to the masses to even play test. The comments above can be seen as very misleading, as the seem to hint that we will have something in the coming weeks, not months,

Whoever is posting the Steam comments needs to ease up a little and stop giving off the wrong vibes that a release is just around the corner.

;)

Being 'Greenlit' on Steam can be misleading in and of itself. For us, it's a very exciting milestone, and if anything enough community feedback validated that PerfectGolf is worth building and distributing - more than just because of the team's love and passion in doing so.

We wanted to share that excitement with everyone, most likely without realizing that in certain cases some would mis-interpret this as the same as being available from Steam. The same goes for the other posts. Paperwork is indeed being filed and of course the SDK is being integrated. Those statements are true, but only indicate the process. Nothing else was meant to be implied. Even the word 'soon' can be open to interpretation but just know that each one of these things is one step closer to bringing everyone into the PerfectGolf world.

Again, we appreciate everyone's enthusiasm for PerfectGolf and we will continue to share exciting milestones with you, up to and including preview releases and mass distribution.

Stay tuned. And thanks for sticking with us!

I'll keep saying that: No hurry guys! It is better to wait for a premium product than hurry and get a game like TWO :D
