Ok, maybe not, but how good is Hoylake looking for The Open?

Anyone know which hole this is?

Looks like this years Hole 16 (Field) - 576 yds Par 5.

For the members it is Hole 14. The Open Championship is playing the course with the holes offset by 2.

1st next week is actually members Hole 17, 2nd is Hole 18, 3rd is Hole 1, 4th is Hole 2 and so on.

Was at Hoylake today, a lot more interesting course than I initially thought it would be.  Those holes 'along the coast' are gonna play interesting if the wind is like it was today.

Yes, the 16th indeed Daz, I ended up going through the hole flybys. Here I was thinking it was daunting yet played the easiest hole last time The Open was here.

Here's the interactive course guide. Click on a hole to see fly-bys, which are very nicely done, btw, but not by PP

I always go and do my homework in the week leading up to a Major. Checking the course layout, watching fly-bys. Damn, those pot bunkers with the vertical peat lips looked so damn HOT! I want to be able to make pot bunkers in CF! It's driving me potty!

K11,

"To sleep, perchance to dream"

One can only hope that Mike & the crew are wearing out their keyboards, coding & re-coding the prog. to achieve what we all want.

I'm sure they do, TBY... Oh, I can picture it in my mind's eye, Mike and his crew toiling away....
