No really hot news from PP - in the meantime, HBS has announced that it is teaming up with Greg Norman's design company GNGCD. And the Ozzers say that they will use the TGC course creator on some of their real course projects.
Sorry, but that would be like me using an etch-a-sketch to draw the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel - a seriously inadequate tool for a seriously ambitious task.
And of course the Forums over at HBS are dripping with enthusastic euphoria. I almost registered on them just to go poop on their party. I didn't, instead I'll do a bit of pooping here. Just because there's a big name in front of a product does not make it better. Anyone being reminded of the Arnold Palmer Course Designer? Also: Dramatic change of tack from HBS, claiming not to want to buy licenses for real players, courses and products and then pulling this stunt.
No demerits to Mr. Greg Norman intended. A great champion of the game. Poorly advised, no doubt.
Do I sound a bit too envious, maybe? Allow me to remedy that:
PP, if you ever are going to stick the big name of some outdated golf has-been in front of your products just to glam them up, I'll be outta here faster than you can say "Huh?"
Unless of course you call them Ka-Boom Golf and K11Course designer. And perhaps if it were with Lee Trevino. Or any other truly legendary superstar of the game. Or start saying "Huh?".
