Lands End  

 

Submitted for Beta testing 

 

Panoramic views,testing multi tier greens,

Custom  Textures  using google earth and photoshop 

Added some animations,  waterfalls,, birds flying above , fishing boats passing by

Few problems beta testing with sounds, animations but as expected

Looks incredible!


Went to Digital Storm and ordered me up a nice gaming machine :)

Intel i3 chip at 3.9G

16 gig DDR4 RAM

GeForce 970 GTX 4gig vid card

240G SSD

1TB HD

Windows 10

It's HERE!!  JNPG runs great with all the bells and whistles at max or close to it...  I still turn 3D render off for the swing, tho.

Played this course twice.  It is GEORGEOUS.  Lots of work, lots of detail.  I came across very few bugs for a beta version. 

Lots of variety in mountains and waterfalls. 

Will play tough.  Par will be a good score here, and could host a U.S. Open, or the Austrialian Open. 

The final 2 holes are tremendous, and made me feel like I'm in an Uncharted 2 scene.

Thank you for the work, this is one to add to the collection.

As you know already PZ, this is in my top 5 even as a beta. I played a match with a mate today TP/Gusty/Medium pins/Hard/14 I pitched in on the last to beat him, shooting -2 to his -1. It plays as good as it looks! My only recommendation is to take a shotgun when you venture onto this magnificent course, to shoot the Phantom Whistler!  d8^)

I have tried adding all these animations, objects to test cf out to see what we can/cant do so far
 
As we are in beta testing cf , there are many issues to get through as we go along
just read the post on the forums and you will know 
 
 
Sounds are a problem. they work sometimes, , i followed the sound tutorials and not so easy 
probably why not many courses have sound, global sounds do work but local are causing problems
Same with animations- has to be a unity.cf thing
Tried to animate orca but doesnt look so good, might delete that
I think i fixed the other fishing boat not moving- test 2 morrow 
These animations are fickle
Mountains issues , maybe adjust shadows in settings, that helps, no problem my end , i have high end pc though
Mountains are an added object and so can cause issues
 
Added members tees, moved ladies tees forward for sim play- this took about 5 hours
Changed Hole index- what a nightmare- 2-3 hours just here, have to do it tee by tee all over the course, no easy way
Dogz had to delete all tees and start fresh
 
I had OOB on every hole which is not recommended, you need just 1 big mother around the whole plot
This is why my water hazards didnt work- so just finished this and too tired now will test 2 morrow- hope it works
 
Added more pins, now have 2 , easy,med diff,on each green to add interest this means another whole day of play and test each pin

Your last post from earlier today makes me appreciate even more all the work and time that you and other users have put in to create these courses.  It really irks me when I read negative comments from a few people who have absolutely no idea how much effort goes in to these courses.  Thanks for all your efforts and I look forward to playing Land's End.

I thought your fishing boats were acting more like speedboats, how many points are you creating in animation? i only create the one then think how long the boat or train or whatever will take to get from where i placed it to where i want it to finish then create one point at that time.  The train in my course has one point set at 70 secs, this in conjunction with the distance to travel then works out the speed, either way chill out your boats a bit  :)

extra sweet was this beauty of an albatross that kick started my round after a run of pars  :)

great effort m8...getting better all the time!

Great albatross Dogz, nice video mate,  good tip on boats,  i had multiple points, i deleted the animations and started again all good now  much slower,  interesting you have one point,  i setup 100 samples, mulitple points, then when done recording, chnaged speed of boat to about 5 smaples

 

Hole 1  diff pins i made bit more room, but tough little hole

want some challenge, excitement and  no easy birds on diff pins anyway

 

Good tip on animations though will write that down for future

 

Made a few more changes, bug fixes etc, glad i have more feedback now so i can fix things

The boat looks like the Orca from jaws all u need now if for those 3 yellow barrels beiing chased by the boat. :P
