Quick update as we have missed the last one due to everybody travelling a generally cranking stuff out!

We have further improved the camera choices and abilities. We still need to smooth a few views out but that is in progress.

New putting system currently in testing which enables better and more intuitive distance control.

New ball shadow and ball visibility system for people who don't like to play with tracers or other visibility aids.

Improvements to swing meter and motion swing systems, difficulty levels are being tweaked as well as a more robust short game values for bunkers shots, flop shots and chips which more accurately matches trackman numbers and ball reactions on these specialised shots.

Lots of other minor bug fixes.

I made my first hole in game one! Ok that last one wasn't really an improvement but I thought I'd keep you in the loop  :D

I wish there would be more to discuss than a hole in one. I´m looking into this since the kickstarter campaign, but there´s not so much happening. Any pics, any hard facts, any beta tests? Would like to here much more from PP and see some effort, because I believe, PG will be a great golf sim.

CourseForge and PerfectGolf have both been in private alpha testing for some time now. You can check out some game footage on our vimeo cannel of the HIO.

The replay of that ace demonstrates brilliantly that live shot cameras and replays should not cut away the very moment the ball comes to a stop (Bit of an internal tester debate about this, currently). Also: vns!

Nice shot to a tough pin! But without the shot counter we can't tell if you were hitting three off the tee.

Ok, I'll pay it. Well done. I was wondering how we were going to test hole in ones.

Love the underside ball shading that's been added.

I doubt they're looking to pull a TGC and release the game when the finished product is still many months away...

The idea is and always has been to continually develop the game, this means in effect that the game will never be finished but we have to release it at some point and early access is a good way to do that.

First of all it gets the game in people's hands so they can start having fun with it and secondly it enables us to get valuable feedback about what people like or don't like and the next features they would like to see added.

I use a piece of audio recording/editing/mixing software that has followed this same concept of continually developing and releasing new features and refining current features, all based on user feedback and input. Every month or so there has been an update with new things added and any bug fixes that might be required. Every few years there is a release of a major new build to keep everything current with technical advancements. Because they listen to their users they have a very loyal user base that continues to grow through word of mouth about their commitment to their users.

Besides, who doesn't like getting little update "presents" throughout the year. :)

So, I finally got an answer to my question.  Similar to TGC, PG will be released as an "evolutionary" game.   ;)  :)  B)
