Don't forget the Dev Diaries!
;-)

(Personally I'd have the devs doing "Dev" and not "diaries")

LOL on the Dev Diaries.  Possibly the worst thing since the New Coke came out... and crashed and burned.

But seriously - I AM holding out hope that the next update or at least TGC2 gives us a significantly more difficult swing option.  I'd likely play the game again if it were simply made more challenging and less repetitive.  The thing that kills it for me is that I can play the same course twice in a row and it feels like the EXACT.  SAME.  GAME.  Like being in Groundhog Day the movie or something.  So maybe it's not he lack of difficulty but the lack of variety in the shot results.

In PG I can play the same course 4 times in a row and they each feel unique and natural.... meaning that it feels kinda like it does when I play my same local course all the time.  I know about what to expect but that doesn't mean that every shot lands in the exact same 3 foot radius every time.

If they could improve on this aspect I think I'd honestly play it a few hours a week just for some variety.  It's not a horrible game - it's just boring.

yeah they can mess with the swing as much as they like but that feeling of deja vu you get will always remain i'm afraid, its why i quit TGCT the thought of playing 4 tour rounds at the same course was too dull to contemplate.

Anthony has stated several times that he does not like how during a round each persons shot results in the ball landing very close to each other's ball. Hopefully, the future new and improved swing mechanic in TGC will solve that problem.

As for each round feeling the same, I experience it to some degree in both games. I have to concentrate a lot more on my shots in PG on RTS-C TP, but I never get bored with playing either golf game. :)

MERACE, you must be a middle child.  ;)  It sure took Anthony an awful long time to wake up and smell the coffee.  That's all I'll say.  :P

Actually, I'm a first born child that is not easily swayed by the fanboys of either game. ;)

As for taking a long time to embrace change, as the saying goes, "better late than never". ;)

Anthony's vision of producing an innovative way to create more risk/ reward in the swing mechanic resulting in more shot dispersion remains to be seen. For now, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and the time necessary to hopefully, accomplish his goal. :)

I'm cautiously optimistic.  The biggest issue I see at the moment is that it doesn't appear that he is going to allow for tournaments to lock in one swing mechanic versus the other because he's still hanging onto his idea of one version of the game with no difficulty options/levels.

To me this is the same as saying that I COULD elect to only carry a Driver, Pitching Wedge and Putter in my bag if I feel the game is too easy.  I think he's missing the point and he thinks I'm missing the point.  So... we'll see what happens I guess.
