Just re-reading the initial feedback OP by Gary and it seems like a lot of changes might yet be coming as so much is unfinished and he's looking for so much feedback before release.

Maybe you asked and he's cool with it?
Definitely seems like a good idea given the very early stage the course is at...

 

Hi guys I am releasing an EARLY beta of The Old Warden for testing.
 
Things that are not finished:

• Green complexes
• Bunkers
• External Area
• 3D Assets
• Some Elevations
• Planting
• Tees (only champ tees currently available)

What I am asking for:

• Opinions on bunker placement
• Opinions on fairway width around landing areas
• Any badly placed trees (including issues with collisions)
• Testing of hazards
• General thoughts on holes
• General thoughts on overall difficulty
• General thoughts on the look and feel of the course
• Observations on performance/frame-rate
• Any show stoppers
• Any suggested improvements

Courses section or off topic is not the problem.  Problem is the course is in an unreleased state.  Gary might not have a problem with this, but if this was my course, I would not want a video showcasing the bugs, texture issues, etc....until it's ready.

I will always make videos of courses that are made available to download in public forums. Anything to do with a new course on the horizon piques interest.

Did you ask Gary if it was ok to do that with a very alpha course release?

I don't see an issue if the course is in public beta so anyone can download and play it. If it's a private beta then that is another matter entirely.

My group played it yesterday (5 of us w/skype) and all agreed it was a great setup and layout.  We did  have concerns about how many of the tee shot landing area for 4's and 5's seemed to almost always be funneled to a narrow and protected fairway...but hey, that's golf!  We gave it the thumb's up!
