Just want to know if the setting is fubarred?  Makes no difference to me if I have it the setting set to on or off.  Seems like VSync is on all the time regardless of the setting on or off and is capping it at my monitor rate of (60fps).

Might want to check the Control Panel for your GPU and make sure it is not on universally (all programs).

Mind has been like that for months. What you need to do  is go in turn it on, then back off, back on and once more off.. Then if your frame rate is above 60 it should show. I gave up on reporting half of these things anymore.. Been trying to get the grid dots fixed for awhile now with no luck. God forbid if they put a timer on the game. They better make it start at three minutes LOL. Whenever you have a longer putt Every time you aim it takes forever for the dots to reappear. :(

Re: Vsync - Does anyone ever set a FPS cap with their Autoexec.cfg file?

I had done a 60fps cap in there and turned off Vsync and got basically the same results that were consistent in the past.

Might try that?  (I assume that still works...forgive me if not)

I haven't tried turning it any lower than 60 FPS. My monitor is 60 so I just use the Vsync. If I come in and see my frame rates up over 60. I just go in turn it On, off, on. And that fixes it.

I have no clue what everyone is talking about in this thread.  I have V-Sync turned off with the only graphics setting turned on being anti-alias.  I have a GTX 960 video card.  When I went in to the GEForce control panel it had a setting called "Vertical sync" which I assume is the V-Sync?  Currently it is set at "Use the 3D application setting".  My monitor has a native resolution of 1680 X 1050 which is the resolution I use for JNPG.  What is the issue if the FPS exceeds 60?  Should I turn V-Sync on?  Thanks in advance for any information or comments.

I turned Vsync off the other day and for some reason or other then back on again and it works for me

It will just run your GPU hotter. But if your monitor is only able to refresh at 60. There is no need to have it Go above that.

According to the CNET review,  my monitor has a horizontal refresh rate of 83 KHZ and a vertical refresh rate of 75HZ.  Does this mean that my graphics would improve if I turned V-Sync on?

I had always read that vsync was used to eliminate "screen tearing".

VSync is still sticking.  But thanks for the suggestions - all tried but no change in VSync.  Only doing it in PG of the games I have tested.

Finally started working following what you said - cycling through the VSync options (in game) finally got it working. :)

Edit : But fails to stick on subsequent opening of PG.  Have to repeat each time (in game) if I want to see how fast the card is throwing out the frames.
