Shot -10 on hard settings in my first round on this snoozer. It seems to have the world's largest fairways too. It is impossible to miss them. I quickly uninstalled this garbage of a course as soon as the round was over. I would have ditched it even sooner but did not want to quit on the other player. I would be on PG's case big time if they designed this but it is not their fault.

I ran into a bug yesterday. I believe it was the 2nd hole Par 4. On second shot (approach) I hit the green and then rolled of into the water on the left. My only drop options were to rehit or drop it across the lake 127 yards away. I should of been given the option of last place the ball touched land but no closer to the hole.

I think this course is great for players who want to learn how to play in Gusty and Windy conditions. Also, I believe it to be a great PG beginners course due to the large fairways.
I play Gusty or Windy 90% of the time when I host my ladder match rounds. Windy with 14 hard/soft greens is an adventure on small fairways with lots of trees. This course is wonderful for extreme conditions practice.

Is it marked as a water hazard or a lateral water hazard? I'm guessing a water hazard (typically yellow stakes), but I'm not familiar with the hole/hazards. The rules of golf (USGA and R&A) for water hazards (Rule 26) state:
"26-1. Relief for Ball in Water Hazard
It is a question of fact whether a ball that has not been found after having been struck toward a water hazard is in the hazard. In the absence of knowledge or virtual certainty that a ball struck toward a water hazard, but not found, is in the hazard, the player must proceed under Rule 27-1.
If a ball is found in a water hazard or if it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found is in the water hazard (whether the ball lies in water or not), the player may under penalty of one stroke:
a. Proceed under the stroke and distance provision of Rule 27-1 by playing a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played (see Rule 20-5); or
b. Drop a ball behind the water hazard, keeping the point at which the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind the water hazard the ball may be dropped; or
c. As additional options available only if the ball last crossed the margin of a lateral water hazard, drop a ball outside the water hazard within two club-lengths of and not nearer the hole than (i) the point where the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard or (ii) a point on the opposite margin of the water hazard equidistant from the hole.
When proceeding under this Rule, the player may lift and clean his ball or substitute a ball."
**For full details of the rule, refer to: http://www.usga.org/...s.html#!rule-26
So, it seems like the game did exactly as indicated in the rules. It if was a lateral water hazard (typically marked with red stakes), then I would suggest that any place you drop would have been closer to the pin than the point where the ball last crossed the margin; therefore, option ยฉ wouldn't be available - it's not where the ball last touched the ground, it's from the point where it last crossed the margin of the hazard. In either case of a water hazard or a lateral water hazard (yellow or red stakes), it seems the drop options were applied correctly.

Thank for the reply Armand. It was clearly a bug. Shot the ball forward 160yds, hit the green and the ball rolled to the left of the green and into the water. I was then placed on another part of the course completely... as in another hole 127 yards away.

I'm still seeing the prevalent blue haze ten yards in front of the golfer on this Olympic course, on almost every shot.
Imo It is a bug, and not any error on my OS.

Perhaps post in the bug report section if you have not already. I tried to replicate your issue with no success while changing the video and weather settings extensively. If possible try and provide a screenshot and of course your system specs and your game settings that produce this effect.

Well, had my second try this time on Olympic. The first one was just a bit of practice. I completed a pretty good round playing off a 6 hcp with 12 on the stimp and gusty winds playing from the championship tee's. Came in with a net 67! One of my best rounds ever! Could have even gone lower but the last 5 holes are without hcp strokes so I took a couple of hits with a couple of bogeys. Must have been the nerves.. Very nice course otherwise. Enjoyed my round. No glitches or otherwise. Thanks PP for including this course in the game.

To play devil's advocate, maybe you guys replying lately didn't see my post before I deleted it.
But I will say this: at least you have replied, and you both did try to help me out now, so thanks for that.
When I post something, and it gets ignored by the devs and the cheerleaders who I know have read it, I get p!ssed and delete it.
I've given the devs many 'second chances' as far as me coming back to play this game. I've even tried to give them credit where credit is due.
My patience with JNPG and trying to play this on different systems is wearing thin.
This is a $1200 system I was on, custom-built, with the default 1 TB spin swapped-out for a ssd -not some POS boxed pc bought from BestBuy for 400 bucks...
NONE of my pc's -old or new- are crap. They run any game out there today decent. But not JNPG, to my satisfaction. Frankly, I'm sick of spending more time trying to tweak anything to play anything on a pc. But that's all I do here.
"Try turning off Bloom and Vignetting?"
Yep. Doesn't matter, still there.
I did say (in my now-deleted post) that I played this course, and Muirfield Village, and Bethesda in real weather, and without real weather (which makes my case for this course much worse off for the devs imo).
That blue haze on Rio is very obvious.
"provide a screenshot"
I did that also. Deleted.
No more screenshots are going to be posted here on my behalf -why go through the trouble, only to have them ignored?
If a dev isn't going to answer, then what's the point?
"and of course your system specs"
No.
I posted my specs, and those got ignored also.
I even had the stupid idea of asking the main cheerleader of JNPG (lately) about i5 stuff. I should have known better to ask a PP sycophant ANYTHING, or even try to think that I had the privilege of doing so...
The bottom line is this: I'm not a JNPG cheerleader, so any criticism coming from someone like me is ignored by the devs -like why I need to install a separate graphics card (instead of using my integrated graphics, which is more-than-adequate on 100% of any Steam -or non Steam games out there) on a one year old $750 laptop to ACTUALLY PLAY THIS GAME.
And the 'playing JNPG' offline issue has been COMPLETELY IGNORED and pushed off to the side by the devs -since this game has been released. It seems plugged lies in bunkers and blades of grass are more important than offline play? I got news for you devs: NO, IT IS NOT...
"I play Gusty or Windy 90% of the time"
Sure you do...
Now once you're done clicking that 'Report' icon, leave, and go back to making more of your self-promoting YouTube vids.
You have nothing to contribute on my behalf, nor do I want to respond to you. I don't need to respond to anyone who thinks their crap doesn't stink, who thinks they are holier-than-thou, or who looks down upon anyone with less than a GTX 970 video card on their system...

I'm not saying you did see the screenshot, as I thought I explained that in great detail last night.
I did pull that post rather quickly, so that is on me -blame that one on a quick trigger finger lol.
A non-issue, my bad.

Not sure if it was, nor did I bother to look into my real weather settings that much further, nor did I investigate what the actual conditions in Rio were in the past two weeks. Once the Olympics were over, I never gave anything concerning Brazil much thought. Still don't.
But you might be onto something here. If there was fog, or the conditions for fog were right at that time, that would explain it. On the other hand, I have never seen blue fog.
Only ghost white fog. With the season's changing as quickly as they do nowadays, this could very well be what's up. In my area, the fog has been thick as molasses @ 5 am, then then once the sun burns it off by 11:00 am it's sky blue clear out there.
That said, I have never seen the Summer Olympic diving pools in any country (in aquatic events @ Rio, and some of the other pools -and the ocean itself) so green with algae (which the IOC claimed was NOT algae -yeah, right ) as they were in Rio, so maybe anything's possible south of the Equator as far as weather or water conditions goes...lol
I'll do some more road testing before coming back in here and saying anything about "blue fog" or blue anything, or algae for that matter. Thanks zmax.
