I had a problem a few weeks ago where the game just would not load. This was after being asked to log in to steam manually several times. This is not necessary as I get logged into steam automatically and that's the way it's been for maybe a couple of years. It turned out that there was a mixup over the username/steam ID.

 

Steam confirmed that gbodave is the correct login as that was the name used by me when purchasing the game.

 

clubcaptain is simply the name that people see me as when I am active on steam and is nothing to do directly with the game (I rarely visit steam on a day to day basis).  it's purchase or any DLC. So I got the game back by using gbodave as the steam login name.

 

All that being said I went to the PG social site and logged in with gbodave and as the screenie shows that information was accepted and my status was logged in so why there is a problem I don't know.

 

It looks like I'll have to go to steam again although you have to jump through hoops and their responses are not that quick.

 

Just looked at my library and JNPG is there and ready to play. Indeed I've played today already.

 

Once again this is your steam account issue as explained a few weeks ago when you couldn't play perfect golf. You are logging into the social site with the wrong account. I can clearly see that your account name is GBODave when you're trying to log into the social site.

Could be you didn't fix the normals when importing the speedtree folders. You can select one of the new trees in your project and update materials in the inspector window to see if this fixes your problem.

Does adding speed trees to CF/Unity need to be done on every course or project that one starts?  I guess the same question goes for CF itself.  Do I need to re-add the CF package each time I start a new project?

 

It seems in my testing, the answer is yes, but I haven't tried using my first project, blowing away all the splines, etc. and then saving as a new project.  Obviously, the terrain may be different on subsequent projects, so I look forward to importing terrain data at some point in the future.

Not sure if you could just have a single project though, and each course you do is just a different scene.

 

Would think that would work as I still have the tutorial scene within my projects for the courses im working on.

Yep, I ran the fix when prompted, but still the new trees seem to have no bark textures. The other trees that are part of the CF Tutorial package are all textured as expected.

New course > new project!

Tempting to go for more with separate scenes, but that will not work.

I followed the instructions in the "access speedree" tutorial and got to his point ... when I Update Cart ...nothing happens ... any ideas ... ???

Ok .... update .... Maybe the obvious got to obviouse ... ( ..or un-obviouse ) I've done purchases before and then you of course always proceed to checkout ... That wasn't in the Tutorial ..if it was I missed it ...... so I just stayed put and starred at the screen as the dumb A$$ I  am ... :wacko: .....  suddenly my brain started functioning again , and I'm all good now :)

It took me a bit as well before the light went on. I was about to post and it dawned on me just to proceed to checkout after pressing update that seemed to do nothing. I was nervous about proceeding and wasting my coupon. Glad you worked it out and that I was not the only one.
