2000 by 2000 is a good starting point Wendy

It can be bigger or smaller but thats a nice size for 18 holes

When in WIDE format  I often have to close down the project and hierachy windows to see all the course forge icons

Strangely my old slow laptop shows them nicely even with those windows open

What screen res is your PV set to? Ideally. Your monitor should be 1920 x 1080p.

You can resize your entire Unity window, make it smaller and place it so that you can see everything - same way as you would resize any other window. You can also configure your view and the different Unity sections anyway you like or place your curser on the lines between the different sections to make them higher, wider or shorter.

A golf course can be sized from 1200 to 2000 m in size, assuming you don't want to recreate an existing one. Mine are from 1300 to 1800m so far.

The base terain is 2000x2000 and I highly recommend you keep this as is as you learn the program. It's unusual for a normal course to exceed those dimensions.

Going back to the splines, can see anywhere where it says how to completely delete a spline. Ie ive created one but want to remove it totally

I'm in the same boat. Any insight would be great!

Basically select one of the control points like you want to move it and hit the delete key. I usually just move one of the control points slightly first just to be 100% sure I have the correct thing selected. The last thing you want to do is delete the terrain by accident although ctrl-z would undo that!

I was about to say the same thing. I could've sworn I tried that, but when I moved it a tad, it deleted no problem.

Thanks Mike! I am going to say it again, CF is great. Thank you to you and your team for all the effort you out into this!

** Answered my own question ** I wasn't making sure the spline was selected before pressing copy. Also, when it pastes, it pastes directly on top of the spline being copied. Just a tip for anybody reading this, when you hover over the spline you want to copy and select a control point, be sure to actually click the "Spline #" title of the spline before clicking copy.(The # should be whatever number the spline was given when created.)

Is there currently a way to copy splines and paste them in another area? For example, I would like to keep my tee box shapes uniform through out the design, but haven't been able to copy and paste them. Is it possible? If so, what steps should I be taking to do so. Thank you for your time.

Also, Mike Jones, thank you for the tutorials! I've never played a golf game with tutorials available as soon as the designer program was released. Really makes the leaning curve less steep.

No, it's not possible. Can't be done.

Imo, this is a necessary and sorely missed feature, for replicating shapes and for quickly conjuring up a larger surrounding shape from a smaller inside one.
