Is there a way to temporarily hide painted textures? I would like to turn off the rough and other things I have painted while I plant some trees. I'm trying to create a real course and it would be nice to see the trees on the underlying image.
Temporarily Hide Painted Textures

If youve got the original overlay image as a texture then just select it and repaint it at 100% opacity and target strength back over the top of the plot. Might be easier and quicker than deleting it out

Your talking about hiding the meshes. It's in the tutorials but you may have missed it. If you have not watched the tutorials I highly recommend that you do.
The ability or button to hide meshes is on the left hand side along those vertical buttons. Third one up form the bottom. It will say "Hide Meshes" if you hover over it for a bit.

There is no way to hide the painted textures that I know of. I try to not paint where trees are until they are all planted. Otherwise, I end up painting the overhead texture back on to find certain trees or other things, then painting again. Same with cart paths, since I save the paths for last. they don't get painted so that I can find them later.

SC - I know how to hide the meshes.
Jimbobh - Thanks for your answer. I haven't painted much rough yet so I'll probably just delete and recreate the texture.

Thanks for the tip John. That's a good tip. I do have the original overly but I had only painted a couple of holes which will only take me about 15 minutes to repaint. I have also painted some textures around some water hazards that would probably take me longer to repaint so I just deleted the rough terrain that I created.

Ahhh...my mistake. I obviously misunderstood the original question.
