Build Splines Icon ontop of Layers Lib Icon

Best Answer Mike Jones , 21 November 2016 - 07:24 PM

Set the Unity window setup to 'Tall', it's not ideal but if you're running an obscure or low resolution it will at least enable you to see all the icons and work with CF without constantly resizing the windows

Every time on open CF I have to hit Wide so that these 2 icons are separated.

I have tried to drag the window to make it a little taller but nothing works.

Thanks for any help.

Hello axe360,

Hmmm...that is an interesting situation. I'm relatively new to Unity and Course Forge. However, I just went into my Unity project and dragged the bottom and right side to shrink my work area. I then just used the top right x to close Unity. When I opened it again the window was exactly how I left it, shrunk down. So for me without having to do anything Unity remembers my latest changes to the work area.

It would certainly be frustrating if the work area window shrunk every time I closed Unity. Does this still occur if you save the project along with a save of the scene? My only other contribution right now would be to make sure your lower area that contains the Hierarchy and the Project tabs along with the area for the Inspector window are unlocked. Mine are. You'll see two little lock images related to those two areas. Make sure they are open.

Logic leads me to believe that it is some setting that is causing this to occur.

Good Luck,

SC  :)

1440x900 Recommended setting.

I will exp. with that, that's probably my issue, I don't have Real Widescreen res.

My native res is 1440x900 any other and words and such are blurred.

No desktop zoom that I'm aware of but will check.

It's funny cause I cannot drag the window down at all, seems to be maxed, it will drag to the right.

However when I hit Wide it resizes just enough to separate them but I sure don't have that big space like you have, in the middle of the icons.

thanks for help.

Thanks Mike I auto hid my Start bar and got just a tad more but I can work around it.

Yes, I believe this is an off monitor for resolution/aspect ratio, whatever. Next on the list, new monitor. ;)

Your Hierarchy/project window is to high  just drag it down and it will line up again......nothing to do with res or anything else it happens to me....

It will NOT drag down any further, only when I hit Wide again, will it resize.

Also interesting is that when  I do hit Wide and it get's slightly bigger, if I try to Drag the window at all, it reverts back to the overlap. Also I don't have the large space between the icons that I see on others.

Notice the space Mike has, I have none of that. Even when I hit Wide.

Sorry, Yes I did . Yes, tall works but I hate it. So for now, I can maximize window to FS and FS saves every time too.

I love FS :D

Hey Mike, just to let you know, I tried 1280x1024 and that works perfectly. Unfortunately it squishes my window for everything else and makes letters blurry.

I think you were right, I must have an obscure monitor, as it say's it's wide screen but with a 1440x900 res. it's really not..

Thanks again.
