I don't think there is a norm. My settings mean nothing. They might work for me but not for you.

I don't know what sort of problems you are having. My overall impression is that you probably have a very short backswing on full swings. It's been my experience that it is harder to hit the ratio on a short backswing. I think it might be for the same reason that it's harder to hit the ratio on partial swings like splash shots. The tendency for me is to go well under .25. I think a short backswing on a full swing shot mimics the partial swings of other shots. It might help with the plane but I think it may hurt with the ratio.

you will have to realize it will be dependable on mousesettings in windows or mousesoftware too.

but here are mine, and i play ms-h on pro.

meter on 1.5

short on 1.7

windows setting in middle, enhanced pointer off.

i use a standard default mouse, no idea about dpi..but it works well..and that for about a tenner hehehehehe

good luck

My in-game sensitivities are 2.8 and 3.8.  I think the mouse dpi is at 400, but I'm not sure what the lowest setting is on this Dell mouse; I have no software running, just whatever Windows driver to make it work.  My Windows mouse settings are pretty much default, I think, with the speed in the middle of the range and "Enhance Pointer Precision" is off.

I play at 1920x1080 resolution, despite my desktop (54" plasma TV) being set at a 125% zoom factor.  I'm pretty sure it's still 1080p in game, as the recorded videos are all at that resolution.

Morning Les. I've recently switched to Motion Horizontal. Just like in the good old days of Powerstroke, I've spent quite a few hours getting to where I can play a decent game on Pro. Here are my thoughts and settings, I hope they will be a help.

1) In Windows/control panel/mouse/pointer options: Turn off pointer enhancement. I'm set on 4 marks from the left.

2) I use a Razer Taipan mouse, which has adjustable dpi on both axes. I'm set on 200/200.

3) In game sensitivity is set at 2.00/2.00. Remember that in game, the lower the figure, the faster the cursor movement, the opposite of Windows and mouse sensitivity.

One thing I have noticed which can cause problems is that in practice mode, where you get post shot statistics, I've hit a shot at 100%, 0 offset, On plane at a perfect .25 tempo but the ball carried 40 yards short of what I expected. I believe that it's possible to have a swing that is inside the 3 second rule, is perfect in every way but is too slow overall, which drastically lowers the carry distance. When I helped a mate via Skype/TeamViewer on my settings his swing was way too slow and I had to move the Windows mouse sensitivity one click to the right of where I am i.e. 5 clicks from the left. He has Win 10 and the same mouse as me but the cursor speed was completely different. I have a second button set up for general use to move the cursor for everything else except swinging which is set at 2000/2000. I hope this helps mate, good luck.

With your settings of 1200 dpi and 1.00 in game, my swing would be so fast that it would be impossible to hit the ball! lol

P.S After a recent Windows update, the pointer enhancement was turned back on, so try to remember to check this before you play.
