Are there videos anywhere showing the "mouse swing' at this point?

I love the misty, early morning look but the colours just look too washed out and dull in my opinion.

is the avatar the final one as it looks odd to me- the hands are oddly sized and angled- or is it just me?

I'll post some screenshots soon of all kinds of playing conditions that you will get in PG, from bright mid-day sunshine in August to misty rounds at the coast in January. How you want the game to look and play is pretty much up to you as the lighting really is very quite versatile.

Odd, how 'some' don't seem to get that the game will have a pretty wide range of personal settings and customization features. Not sure how many more times that needs to be posted... lol

Will there be options for shadows, I get the idea but, remember old guys don't see to well and the hole always seems to be covered in shadows.

Now I know we can adjust the time of day, can we adjust lighting direction on the fly? say between holes played?

actually it does look pretty real depending on how heavy the cloud cover is.Although the odd tinge of orange peeking through or yellow would also be quite realistic as how many times have you been playing just as the fog or mist is lifting and the sun pokes through with a warm glow? It would be a nice touch.

I'm well aware that there will be options to customise the game but my comment was based on the above picture.

This is how I would like a misty morning to look.

The lighting will change as the sun moves however you can make it move in real time or up to 24x more quickly if you really want!

If you don't want to use real time weather you can set up a game which always defaults to May 1st and if you play at 12 noon the shadows will be pretty much straight down if you want to play at full brightness without long shadows casting across the course. Remember though - only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun!

There's a good chance that pic you posted will have been through several filters plus photoshop but anyway - here is a pic captured directly from in game.

Stop the presses!  He's wearing a blue shirt! ;) ;) ;)

Seriously though, the game is looking great.  Can't wait to give it a whirl.

Thanks for the pics Mike.  Looks great!

It's worth mentioning that the gloomy/dull/washed out descriptions are mostly from people who aren't testing the game and don't have access to the lighting features.  Also, we don't know how much the screenshots differ from how the game looks on the player's screen. We can only comment on what we see posted here.

BTW, textures looking washed out/gloomy was also mentioned in the "Show and Tell" thread in posts 689 and 690.   Kablammo clarified that he was playing with certain setting that Scott was probably not aware of.

Glad to see things are coming along nicely!

Good Grief, thats incredible. Had a look at that oversized hand that was mentioned, GG some people go looking for the smallest thing. They should look at the cardboard cutouts of the spectators in TW 08.

Thanks Mike. To be fair this image looks superb and nothing like the picture in the OP.
Keep up the good work.
