Wanted to share with any beginning designers like myself new discoveries I've found working with CF and Unity. I heard other designers having trouble matching up textures between the painted on textures with the CF ones. What really stumped me was the hazy, waxy look that some textures had I couldn't get rid of. Found out the Freznel setting was too high. Put it back to .03 made them crisp again. I also found the CF textures if they were too brilliant in game and Unity I'd dial back the contrast a bit and would cure the brilliancy w/o having to change any other settings. But I had messed around with so many texture tweeks when all along my freznel setting was just way too high, set at .06. Everything looks much better at .03 or thereabouts. Also wanted to share pond ripple settings I found to look pretty good. Scale x to maybe 5.8 to y 2.9 at speed x .012 to w .012. Looks OK. Also wanted to note to anyone, who hasn't used but was wanting to try easy roads, it put a giant spike in my terrain along the edge that was tall as a skyskraper, so be careful.
Sharing the discoveries. Will probably take a break from designing for awhile.
Cheers all.
