I'm getting strange ball reactions from the leaf sphere colliders on my trees.  The collision is being detected properly but the ball is reacting like wood or something similar.  The ball bounces off instead of the regular ball/leaf interaction, and sometimes has a ton of backspin if it happens to land on the green.

Sometimes the "leafy" sound is triggered upon collision, sometimes there is no sound.  It's happening far enough away from the trunk so I'm sure it's not the trunk capsule collider.

This looks normal to me:

Here are my leaves physics... Is this correct?  All zeros?  All other physics materials/colliders are working properly.

Any thoughts?

Perhaps its something in the tree itself that can be adjusted in the Modeller?

Everything looks fine in the modeler John.  All other colliders and materials other than the leaves materials are working.

Can someone verify that the leaves physics properties that I posted above are correct?

I've never ever changed these settings, so whatever the default is....

Bortimus did you add  the leave material  yourself? I've checked all of my speed trees and for materials, it says  none. I even checked the  conifers  in the Course1 plot, Mike supplied there the same way. But if I click and add the leaves Physics.. It looks just like your second picture.

Justin thanks for checking. I only used the leaves materials that are in the CF package.  I didn't change them or create any new physics materials.

I was hoping it would be something simple like the leaves material was somehow zeroed out and I could just re-enter the values. Unfortunately that's not the case.  I just don't understand why the ball is violently bouncing off of them.

I Pmd you on OGT, but as Justin says all the Physics materials on the colliders on my trees all just say None, no mention of the leaves physics materials in any of them

On the capsule colliders for your trunks, is there any physics material assigned to those colliders?

Well it looks like changing all of the leaves sphere colliders back to "none" physics materials worked.  I have left the capsules on the trunks as "wood" for now and it seems fine.

I don't understand it but I'm glad it is working.

PG has inbuilt physics for foliage sphere collisions there is no need to create your own.

Ok I didn't know that Mike.

Do all capsule colliders default to wood or do wood physics need to be applied for trunks?
