I play golf on pc like I would out on the course in real life.

I don't have commentators passing comments on my shots so don't miss it on the PC.

When I play driving games I don't yearn for lap by lap commentary from Brundle and Croft and I'm same with my golf.

I still sit at my screen and shout at my ball like I do in real life, so that works for me.

Nothing wrong with that Daz. I agree that those standard comments quickly get boring. As you know they can be switched off in Links so there is something for everybody on this. I was referring more specifically to the tv-commentators soundscripts of which (in Links) the TKS and UK Tribute are really quite exceptional. I've had these (updated) scripts for years and I still hear new comments come up regularly although playing every week for years on end. The layering in these scripts is truly very well done. Anyway, I hope it is at all possible to make custom scripts for PG, as the ballflight/direction is unsure? That should pose a challenge for scriptmakers I would think!

I kind of enjoy the Links commentary, when playing solo. To each their own. That's why even Links has an on/off option. As fellow testers I know that we agree on OPTIONS.

OPTIONS, OPTIONS AND MORE OPTIONS, NEVER TO MANY OPTIONS! ;)

Amen Brother

Little known fact when King Arthur was trying to make a golf course and he ran into some conflict. King Arthur: There's a peace only to be found on the other side of war. If that war should come I will fight it!    Other important fact. Read the Book of John in the Holy Bible.

Perhaps... BUT for me, computer golf and real golf are two different things...  however, when I do play real golf with friends and family, there is general chit chat, encouragement, razzing, and just general talk about your game... whether you are talking to your ball in mid flight or rolling towards the hole or encouraged/discouraged by your game on that day..

That's the part I enjoy listening to.   Links had the Male 1,2,3 etc. soundscripts to make it like you were playing with a buddy... I still find those to be fun..

Sometimes, I find myself saying those sounds in real life golf...  "On the green!"   ha!

Surely that is different to in game commentary though.

PG will allow you to text chat in game, or you could use Teamspeak 3 or even the in built game chat that Steam has. I haven't personally tested Teamspeak 3 or Steam in game chat as yet, but I'm sure some will during EA.

This would give you your chit chat, encouragement and razzing, lol.

The commentary soundscripts generally just fire off sound bites based upon the shot that has just been played or little pre-shot ditties, which as I have mentioned don't really do anything for me, but I appreciate others are keen to have them included.

;)
