I'll create heightmaps for the courses that have lidar. Here is the list so far:

Bedminster NJ

Charlotte NC

Colts Neck NJ

Ferry Point NY

Hudson Valley NY

Philadelphia NJ

Washington DC (Championship and River)

Jupiter FL

Palm Beach FL

Doral (Red, Gold & Silver)

Doral-Blue has been released by pgapro. Lidar is not available for Westchester NY, Los Angeles CA.

Turnberry should be done, absolutely. Other than that I really have nothing to add here that would be constructive.

I would love to see the L.A. course, even without the lidar.

I've got a version of turnberry on the go from a rather nice lidar source. It's pre the redesign so would be classic turnberry. It's been on the back burner with my other courses waiting for a decent gorse bush

The following Trump course lidar heightmaps have been created and are available for download on the OGT "Real Courses Projects and Status" post. I'm not sure, but I believe the Washington DC maps may also be 50cm lidar. The lidar for Bedminster and Charlotte had errors and could not be created.

http://onlinegolftou...php?f=87&t=2072

US Courses Top Rated
==================
Trump Colts Neck (50cm LIDAR)
Trump Ferry Point (50cm LIDAR)
Trump Hudson Valley (50cm LIDAR)
Trump Philadelphia (1m LIDAR)
Trump Washington DC - Championship (1m LIDAR)
Trump Washington DC - River (1m LIDAR)

In addition pgapro has started a Florida project and has been provided the lidar heightmaps for the following courses:

Florida Project
============
Trump National Doral Red (1m LIDAR) --pgapro = WIP
Trump National Doral Gold (1m LIDAR) --pgapro = WIP
Trump National Doral Silver (1m LIDAR) --pgapro = WIP
Trump National Jupiter (1m LIDAR) --pgapro = WIP
Trump International Palm Beach - Championship (1m LIDAR) --pgapro = WIP
Trump International Palm Beach - Trump 9 (1m LIDAR) --pgapro = WIP

Hi,

I just created the maps based on the initial post, and they are out there for anyone to create the courses. I am thinking about doing Philadelphia myself, so any of the others is fair game. The two Washington courses would be a nice start, but you may prefer to make your own selection. Check the maps out and see what suits your eye. I believe they all include a layout and scorecard.

Once you decide, post to the OGT thread to let Zmax or pgapro know so they can update the course list.

Larry

I got to play the LA course back when it was called Ocean Pines and Trump had just bought it to rebuild and release to the public.  What a beautiful piece of land.  This must have been 12-15 years ago, me and a buddy were driving down PCH on a business trip (we happened to bring our clubs) and were like - wow  is that a golf course down there on the ocean?  Made a quick u-turn and drove down and asked if we could play it.  They said they just got bought out and didn't really have a green fee for non-members yet, but then gave us a key to a cart and said - have fun - no charge.  One of the most enjoyable 14 holes until dark I've ever played.  Would love to see this one on JNPG to relive this wonderful afternoon.

These Trump courses are fenomenal. I've watched interviews with the man when he's 'all golf' and he knows what he is talking about. This is not just some guy throwing his money around. He is very immersed in all parts of the game, not in the least a very good golfer himself (around scratch). I do hope some of these courses are going to be made for JNPG.

I Have Trump Washington laid out with splines (both course). There aren't many good images of the course on-line, so I'm waiting for the Senior PGA this weekend. I'll record videos to get a better idea what the terrain looks like. I believe skunky (OGT name) has started Colts Neck.
