Long ago someone made a hole with lights on it to play night golf.

did this ever go anywhere ?

I made the OGT Night Driving Range which can be downloaded now.

 

Despite it being an "18 hole" course, it was built purely for the OGT Practice mode, so holes 2-18 are all unplayable. 

 

However it will give you a feel of what I managed to do with lights. I not sure a full 18 of it would be too easy to do, as it does seem to tax resources somewhat.

I did a 1 hole test a long long time ago, but gave it up as the lights looked really weird in the daylight and there was no way to turn them off during the day because custom scripts are disabled by PG.

Yeah that was the other other issue exactly Crow, I knew there was another problem I was forgetting. Obv when setting dyn skies off you can force it to night time, but as ya say if someone was to play it with dyn on and daytime the lights look awful
