Bunkers look great, how many holes have you done so far?

Best bunkers i have ever seen in JNPG. You should do a turorial!

Wonderful look. I imagine how the course would look with these bunkers and 3d grass (and maybe reflective water if it is somewhere on the course).

I'd also like to know how you did those bunkers, looks like they were done outside the normal mesh..

Fandabbidozie.

Is this a reworking of The Glen from Links 2003 or a fresh version?

all bunkers done in blender and reimported back in....very tedious process. numerous steps

each bunker can take between .5 to 1hour work

Would still like to know how it was done, I got Blender so this would be a great addition to any Links course...

You need to do a tut !

My guess would be that he creates the bunker in blender and textures the sides of it.  Imports into unity and meets the terrain up with the bunker.  Then draws a bunker shape in the bunker and locks the spline.  Or some combo of that.  Or not anything like that... lol

Well what ever method is used it looks amazing, most realist bunkers I've seen in a long time.. I orginally thought it was an acutal photo just superimposed on to the fairway...

Doc really made the bunkers in TGC and then ported them in to JNPG.

That is really the new standard for bunkers!! It shows what is possible down the line. It's crazy what difference they make.

Another important part would be finding better solutions for the zones where land meets water. I haven't seen many courses that handled this issue very well.

Frank,

I think the new reflective water as seen on PGA National is a big help with water/land transitions. Looks so much better than the sharp transition of the standard water plane.
