i spend about half my time playing in the rainy conditions.

as far as i can tell there is no effects in the physics of the

ground being wet. will these ever be added ?

Maybe at some point, we have higher development priorities at this time

I wouldn't think this would be too far down the priority list...if you're making a realistic golf game.

i really enjoy figuring out approach shots to the greens

and rolling them to the hole 60yrds and under are my favs

water physics is something i want to learn here, but we need em first.

I am all for all out realism.....

How many users do you think truly care about such a feature? How many rounds do you play in the rain?

Some of your comments seem to indicate that you think AJ and Mike have the resources of an EA. The "options" they have in this game are ASTOUNDING. In fact, one could make the argument that there are too many options which is why some get turned off by the game before they truly find out how good it really is.

Hey, I get it....we all want the game to be as realistic as possible. But there are and will be limitations on what this small development team can do. "Realistic ground physics in the rain" would be pretty far down the list compared to:

1) Windows/Xbox One/PS4 versions

2) Unity 5.5 update to include Speed Tree instancing and Turf Effects

3) New mo-capped Golfers

4) etc, etc, etc,,,,,,

IMO.

I see nothing wrong with Dave's request, but perhaps this should be in the Feature Requests sub forum.

Links 2K has a TON of options, more so than any other golf game that I know of and people who played (and still play) didn't seem to have a problem with it.   Quite honestly, many of the options in PG seem to be taken right from L2K, but ultimately, options are GREAT for any game.   I get that there are priorities and yes, the smal dev team, etc etc etc, but I think what turns people off the more is the very slow pace of development, bug fixes, AND added new options.   There is no news of what is to come, what the future plans are, zero communication of perhaps what type of options will be included in the Win10 version.  If people had a little knowledge of stuff like this, that could get customers excited about what is to come.

now come on an option.lol

now that is funny.

why have flipping rain at all if the physics are not going

to be there? i say remove the rain it has no affect anyway.

knocks the heck out of live weather too.

options are cool when they work but with no ground physics rain don't work.

I don't recall being against the request. However, in the scheme of things, this should be on the list. Where it is on the list is not up to me or you.

I have seen Mike post that this game has tons of "options" and that there may be too many options for the average user. I will be shocked if the Win10/Xbox One versions have as many options as this version. I am betting on either fewer or a much cleaner and user-friendly GUI.

At the end of the day, I am not against the option. Just trying to bring some perspective to the thread and request.

1. Yes, there is multiplayer and a lobby where you can play with friends or others on the internets.

2. Tons of "Methods of Play" or in fact, create your own.  But I think that tool is unavailable for some reason.

3. Yes, see #1

4. I have not played TGC in a while, but I think the original does not have 3Click and not sure if TGC2 has either.  You might want to check over at their forums.

Ok but is it LIVE WITHOUT ANY DELAY BETWEEN YOU HITTING THE BALL AND THE OTHER PEOPLE SEEING YOUR SHOT?.

Does TGC have ground physics adapted for rain?

Does any other golf game for that matter?

I believe you are correct, TGC and other golf games do not have actual rain effects, but I also thought many of you wanted the "best sim golf game ever".  Wouldn't wet grass be part of that simulated environment?   If yes, then wouldn't a golf ball rolling on wet grass be different than say rolling on dry, tall, uncut, etc grass?

But can we get 3D grass before we worry about whether it's wet or not?

When setting weather option to rain, set faiway firmness option to soft, green firmness option to soft, and stimp option to 8, hey presto youve set all the options as if it was raining :)

TWO had the physics for rain.08 may also, not sure though.

both EA i also would bet they are in their current game.

both also had great punch shot physics,,which we also need badly

for the windy play here 35/40 mph winds and no punch.

Comparing EA's resources to PP's is a bit unfair IMO.

i know there is no comparison , just stating the physics could be incorporated

and they do exist for those folks who have never come across a golf game title, that this has been

done correctly on.
