Since I'm working on a standard sized LapTop my editor window is small. So, when possible, does anyone see a problem checking "Maximize" to enlarge my editor window?

Clicking maximize just enlarges the scene window,
you won't be able to see your CF and Unity tools.
You could try different layouts, such as Wide, and see
if it helps.
