So, is this feature out yet and where can we find this offset adjustment?

The offset fix has not been pushed to public yet. Here’s how to use it:

Has this fix been pushed to the public?  If not, will it?  If not, can the beta version be downloaded somewhere?

Thanks!

Yep, been fixed and is working well, I use it all the time and can't play without it. Hopefully they release to the public for everyone else soon.

Is there a way to download the beta version?  This is critical to playability in my setup.

Thanks!

Hi guys, I've got a skytrak and have been playing TGC for a couple of years, I'm interested in getting JNPG as the online golf tour looks like good fun, I've bought the steam version of JNPG, but not bought the simulator pass yet, I've got a very tight room, my Skytrak is setup 1ft from the right wall but it's not aim parallel to the wall but instead aimed left to just right of the screen centre, I use the offset in TGC but it assumes you are aiming down a line that is perpendicular to the screen would would have me aiming very close to the right edge which I don't really like doing. From reading this post it seems like the original JNPG offset would actually suit my setup where my ball is on the far right but I'm aiming toward the centre, I was going to try the sim trial pass but I don't think that works with skytrak so hoping you guys can advise if the current (non beta) offset would suit me?

Many thanks

There are a bunch of different offset settings in this, game if you hit f8 and type in offset. Maybe the developers could chime in and say what each does? As far as your question, the way offset was befoeemthey fix was a mess and not usable IMO. Now it's perfect, you move offset to where the ball lines up with you and hit towwwrd your target. Before you could move the ball but the course would stay where it was. So while it may work for you aiming way back toward center with your skytrak pointing that way, it was not correctly implemented like they have in TGC.

‪Here is my very poor MS paint attempt at showing 1)  the left image is how I think I want my offset to work, 2) middle image is how my current TGC offset is setup, and 3) is how I think TGC and the beta JNPG offset is meant to work, the one on the right doesn't really work for me as i'm so close to the wall I lose a lot of the right side of the course and the screen wears quicker the further away from the centre you hit it and a shank is more likely to ricochet of my wall.Attached File  offset.jpg   84.76KB   0 downloads

Hi tommyseb - I understand your situation but I think it would be quite tricky to cater for that as the pin moves vertically up and down the screen according to its distance away and its elevation--which means your aiming direction would change.

PG could move the pin horizontally on each shot so your aiming direction always remained the same, but that would dependent on your distance from the screen, it's dimensions, zoom, keystoning or lack of, height above the ground where the screen image starts,... Not easy at all.

Have you got the room to angle the screen and projector as well? I've shown a little of PG's new offset being used as well but you could use more and reduce the angle as much as possible and put some polystyrene on the right wall (isoboard in the US). I've done that only having 4' to the wall and even shanks yet haven't hit it.

Got it setup last night and before hitting the shot it looks perfect.  Everything lines up now.

I only had time for a few swings but it looked like the ball still launches from the center of the screen as opposed to where it originates (offset to the right).  Is this true?  Any way to have the ball launch from it's offset position?

It's really ugly when putting and hard to decipher push/pulls because the ball jumps all over the screen.

Thanks!
