This will be very nice if they let us make custom libs and upload the libs on the site for all to use along with stock libs from stock courses.. Which if they do let us make custom libs they will have to be available for anyone who downloads your course. Obviously..
Done with designing.

@axe360 - In Links, custom objects added by designers are stored in the course files, so there is no need for players to have libraries of objects - just the designers. I hope this will be the case with Perfect Golf too, as missing libraries would become a pain in the **** for players.

Was wondering that too. Guessing the games made in Unity don't require the purchaser to buy a Unity library?
I suppose we will have to see what stock objects and terrains come with CF. Guessing (once again), that this why we will ultimately need to pay for CF?
@garynorman - ow long did it take to make your tree? And have you done this sort of thing before?

I'd never done it before, and it took about 30mins - 1hr to do... Looking more deeply into it though, as I have now, I think that there's alot more to it than just making the tree...
I have been making other trees (trying to get better) and I've noticed that there's a counter in the inspector window that relates to the number of verts, tris and materials in an object. Obviously, the more detailed you make the tree, the higher the count and I would suspect that this will dramatically alter the performance 'in game'. Also, with each branch and leaf group you set how it reacts to wind. Again I wonder whether having inconsistent settings for each different tree model will look strange in the game.
I think that it will be a case of waiting until something is available from PP to test all of this, but in theory these trees are pretty easy to make.
I think also that you can export the tree(s) as a unity package, so I would imagine that the designer would need the specific tree package to put them into the course, but once finished and uploaded the end user would not need that library as it would be part of the course file... If that makes any sense??!?!?

I've noticed that there are a bunch of free 3d stuff including trees on the internet. Some can be dragged into Unity but I'm not sure about the file types and also as you mentioned the performance hit you'll get as some are very detailed?

Jez,
They are just videos from YouTube that I have embedded in to my post, so you could watch them in YouTube (click the YouTube logo in the bottom right of each embedded clip and it will take you to YouTube). I'm not sure if there is a way of actually saving clips from YouTube to your HD. If there is you may need some 3rd party software or even have to subscribe for it, I have no idea.

Newb question here..can anyone tell me how the narrator is zooming in and out on his object in the tutorial above? What object/keys is he using? I seem to do the other steps but am unable to zoom in/out on my work. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Daz.
I have downloaded all 62 of Lez's apcd videos but for some reason these are not working right and will not play the video, just the sound.
I'll keep working on it.
