I am frustrated at times when I can barely see the pin when approaching the green.  Is there any way to make the pin stand out more or have an aim spot similar to TGC? Am I missing something?

There is a binocular icon. When you click this it spots the pin and brings it to you. Also f3 will zoom you to your current aim spot

Slice, where is this binocular icon. Is it one of those upper right icons (which I hardly use). To aim to the pin I use F2  but only works amateur and below. If you really want a detailed look use F5 and use the arrow keys to zoom in.

If you hit "P" on the keyboard, it should do the same thing that the others are describing for the binocular icon.
