I was brought up with strong principals and have always refused to go the "if you can't beat them, join them" route. Like I posted above it is no biggie pausing from golf again for a few years to me until someone deserving of my money brings out one.

I could simply keep playing this game. i have never seen the need to always keep buying the next version of a game. it is all rather silly to me.

Being the principled person that you are Mark, it would seem like you should forgo this game and delete it and only return at some point in the future if they put out a product that meets your qualifications.

But you refuse to support any of their future efforts?

Why should I when they left this game full of bugs and a stuttering, jumping and sliding meter?

If you remember a post I made a few weeks ago I said I would purchase PG2 IF after reading forum bug reports etc for 6 months I deem it has solved the 3 click and many other problems prevalent in this version.  So there is a possibility but I do not have confidence that it will fare better.

No need to get smarmy.  You would feel slighted too if you had the play the game with the horrid meter I have endured.  I paid for a properly working game but did not receive it.  I do not know about you but I expect quality in all I purchase.  My only "qualifications" is get what I paid for.  Enough with this back and forth Buck as I have explained myself ad nauseum to you on this subject, thank you.

I suppose just because Andrew saw fit to make a very belated announcement about the future of PG2 almost everybody is happy and onboard again? It just doesn't wash with me that this statement couldn't have been made 6 months ago.

I also agree. Even though I said 'thank you' I didn't really come away feeling all that confident. I also agree with GoldenBear, I have issues with the swing meter as well. Particularly when trying to play with a controller. I don't think that it is too much to ask for a game that you paid hard earned money for to work for everyone that has a computer that meets the required specs.

If they had a swing device such as this I would pay the sim fee on a yearly basis. Great game but no room for a sim and keep all other swing modes for all that like them.

My present game of choice is Wii U Tiger Woods 12 with my homemade club. I get real life scores playing in true view and no assists other than distances and elevation. All swings are done by feel and no meters.

I did, I said that, me! Swing meter is so 1990's to me but wot ever floats your boat.

(I see your not very familiar with the "commoners" English language. That's fine, but we don't all speak like Noel Coward, Hugh Grant or the snooty "plum in mouths" upper classes over here in the UK yer knaa (that means you know from my neck of the woods) There's some weird and wonderful words and accents spoken in the UK. Glaswegian, Geordie, Scouse, Brummie, West Country, not forgetting the old cockney rhyme and slang. All totally different types of speak and all spoken within a few hundred miles of each other. Lovely jubbley!) :D

But still in the Premier League (amazingly). I wonder if Mike Ashley has a spare couple of million ( ahem, I know he has) to throw at a golf game.
