Me either..
I do see the word "perfect" a fair bit in other contexts though..
It's all setting up for them to roll out "Perfect Golf" to complement that marketing.

@shimonko - Can you link us to where you're seeing the PG shots/mentions/etc?

Nor could I find anything at all about PP or PG.

That is mistake number one for many businesses, not being concerned about a small amount of sales.  It usually is the small amount of sales that add up to the most for companies.

True...but...

You know what also adds up to a lot of sales (and does so much more quickly and with more ease)?

Big amounts of sales from a more mainstream and larger customer base...

$49,995 !   Whew.   Glad it's not $50,000.   That would put it out of my reach.

Is there really?

I had dug all over trying to find stuff like that in the past.
Can you link to any of it?

Revisiting it, the page is now redirecting like it was prematurely put up. Here's a snapshot of a portion of it though, where I've blanked out the prices as it appears Trackman don't want it shown yet.

@shimonko:  Thank you!

So is that some site you have access to?  or where/what is that from?

Nothing special, it was publicly available on Trackman's main site.

games just need to find out what buyers want and charge for it

have a fantasyland mode with paid power ups like a few other golf games, make a ton

but also have a simulator and vr modes, different plans for the user of choice

charge entry fees for major events

sell an ultimate plan that has everything

and you'll have players of all modes and lots of games and funding

try to sell what people don't want, or make the game only for sim players and you get what you have now... unfleshed out game with lots of potential

golf is an expensive hobby irl

this game failed as much for the cheap bastages in here as for the issues

if the ones still committed to visiting a forum for a just about defunct golf game still in hindsight wouldn't consider spending some real golf money for a better quality golf game...

there's no hope in it... just el cheapos that need to get a life

I'd like to read something interesting here but ..nothing. for a game that had really interesting rts-m gameplay I am surprised that it went nowhere. ironic. perfect golf is a lot like my logo/picture. look close and you'll see what I'm saying..

Don't worry - this would appear to be a problem we won't have to worry about

(PG2 existing and being something we can purchase - at least not anytime soon)

Perhaps I'm a little naive but during whatever negotiations took place between PP and Trackman surely the future of PG was decided.
I don't know why PP or Trackman don't announce what their plans are for the future of PG, good or bad. It's annoying to say the least not to have a definitive answer.
I'm pretty sure that any goodwill that PP or Trackman had within the PG community is all but exhausted.
The forum is on its last legs and I'm sure is only allowed to remain because of those people still designing courses.

This is why I asked months ago why anyone should trust Trackman at this point.  Any company that thumbs their nose at me shall never obtain my business.  EA Sports I have boycotted for this very reason for life since 2012.

So if you won't pay & play Trackman for PG and you're done with EA - all that's left is TGC or very old and no longer updated or worked on games.

Assuming you do in fact want to continue playing golf games into the future, is that really a great solution?

It seems like the one harmed the most in that scenario is you, isn't it?

I guess some people have strong principles Buck. Why should people be treated badly and still invest in a company?

Ian, the point I was trying to make is "what golf game are you going to play if you refuse to support any of them?"

I'm all for principles… But we only have a couple players in this entire space. Is it really worth foregoing the entire experience of playing golf just to spite developers you've disagreed with?

Perhaps for you and Mark it is?

Nothing feels more harmful to me than playing a game that simply does not work correctly.  I would rather play nothing at all.

Golf games come and go, no skin off my nose.  I play rFactor2 exclusively as my favourite simulator.  Sim racing is my major appeal and I have an expensive wheel and rig.  So being a sim racer first and foremost, playing golf is a huge step down in creating any adrenaline rush for me.

I was brought up with strong principals and have always refused to go the "if you can't beat them, join them" route.  Like I posted above it is no biggie pausing from golf again for a few years to me until someone deserving of my money brings out one.

I could simply keep playing this game.  i have never seen the need to always keep buying the next version of a game.  it is all rather silly to me.
