Where did I actually mention 'loss' or a willingness to pay $60 a year?

you said what you said  - you would not be a part of it. hence your loss not mine...  and just to clarify you did not include a price so I will amend my post to meet your technical standards

But we all know that Buck has no say in PG2 as none of us do. Looking to him for solutions is like Pi$$$$$ up a rope faceing a north wind.

But apparently you think your opinion means more than his for some reason.

Pay "more"?

I just mean "pay them at all".

PG1 is done.  PG2, if it exists for PC, will be a new purchase decision.

With that in mind, I personally just prefer a low entry price (by subscription) that would allow us to evaluate exactly your concerns about their commitment to fixing/updating the game.

If you're saying the PG1 situation means you'll never do anything with PG2 no matter what at any cost or pricing model, what are they supposed to do to win you back?

I don't understand what you want from them.

I want them to show they have the aptitude to make a game not riddled with bugs.  I mentioned this in many of my posts, Buck.  As it stands right now I see no reason to have any confidence in PP's abilities in making another game.

I totally understand what you're saying, but I don't understand how you want them to show you.

If it's a subscription model game or a full retail release, are you not going to buy and try it no matter what?

Wait for reviews?

How would you approach it?

Huh??  How is it his loss?   If people don't want to pay for the game, then there is no loss.    Consequently, if masses decide NOT to purchase PG2 and the funds are not there to support it, quite frankly, it will be your loss.

Slice has not made much sense in many of his posts as of late.  Although they are quite entertaining in how far off the mark they have become.

Thanks for the reply.  They need to fix this game before releasing PG2 in order to show they have the ability.  But they already have said that they are done with this game, so I am done with them.  it gets tiresome being lied to continually as we have been by PP as in many things promised and none of which was delivered in this version of the game.

I see..

Well, hopefully there will actually be a PG2 (for normal PC use)

Promises are what parents make to their kids to stop them crying. Shit changes in business. I have no reason to believe Mike or Andrew have ever been deceitful, and would indeed call them stupid if they followed up on intentions that they later realized were not in the product's best interest.

The product's best interest ?!!

The product doesn't have any interests sport.

They haven't been deceitful. You can't be deceitful if you don't say anything. I think they simply realised they couldn't possibly achieve their initial goals. Hey, welcome to all our worlds. I understand their actions implicitly.

I'm not sure that your amended post does anything to meet my 'technical standards'.

That is, presuming that by 'technical standards' you mean my desire for honesty and accuracy in a post rather than just some made up crap to justify a point.

For me the price point is $5 to $10 a month depending on that including DLC courses, avatars and features that are worth updating on a monthly basis.    The first month I did not see an update that was worth it would be my last. The $39.00 buy is good, but if you were to raise that, my willingness to spend more would go down.  Subscriptions are a matter of faith in a company and there are to many independent studios that make the cash grab of subscriptions and don't deliver anything after they get the cash.  Before I saw that Andrew and Mike were with the team, I can honestly say I would have said $ 0 per month, but I have known both of their work since 2003, I have a little more faith then the average golfer in their commitment to delivering a great product.  Still chances of me paying a $ 15 a month subscription are almost nil.

Saw an App dev tweet this and it cracked me up as it's somewhat relevant here and long been a problem for App makers.

Several years ago, an NBA star was holding out for more money (duh).  The club was offering $5+ million, the star wanted $12million.  He was quoted as saying "WTF, how am I supposed to support my family on $5 mil" (or words to that effect).

I was thinking at the time, giver me that $5 million, I'll show him how to do it.

The exorbitant wages paid to these fools playing games for their livelyhoods is one of the main reasons why I stopped watching sports in the late 90's.  Of course with being overpaid comes the arrogance of these fools as well...

Wonder why when Trackman have purchased PP to incorporate PG/PG2 with their ball tracking devices in their simulators, they still have pictures all over their website of the simulators running the TruGolf E6 software.

I would have thought that would have been one of the first things they would have updated.
