F,
I think Steam (Valve) only allow 'active' members to cast votes and to become active Valve require you to actually purchase a game. Getting a 'free to play' offering doesn't count (tight wads, lol).
Bummer

when i put the link up in the golfstar fourms(jan 19th)with 667 views as of today,pp was at 98% on being on greenlight. now i see pp is in 81st out of 100 position as of jan 23rd,so in 4 days it went from 98% to 81st position, not bad... how high does a game has to get to be put on grenlight?
i know the above post says the 18th here but in the fourms says the 19th.

Jedi_Mike,
This was my post on Page 5 of this thread:_
This taken from the Steam Greenlight pages:-
How many votes does a game need to get selected?
The specific number of votes doesn't matter as much as relative interest in a game compared with other games in Steam Greenlight—we need customers to help us prioritize which games they want to see made available on Steam.
We're going to be reaching out to developers as we see their games getting traction regardless of whether they have achieved a specific number of votes or are sitting 1st or 2nd place at any given time. We are most interested in finding the games that people want, not requiring them to hit a specific number of votes.

Thanks to everyone for the support. Please, inform your friends and your family. Together we can help this be a success and what better way than through Steam.

First off, I appreciate 'The Next Car Game' from Bug Bear is not a golf game, and maybe car/driving games have a bigger following than golf games as far as PC and console go, but you cannot fail to admire what they have achieved since they put their game on Early Access on Steam.
Next Car Game made over $1 million dollars in one week on Steam Early Access

Bug Bear also have something in common with Perfect Parallel. The following is from the VVV article:-
"Their Kickstarter campaign was written off prematurely after they failed to generate enough funding".

Nice find Dazmaniac!
Another way to show how important it is to get Perfect Golf on Steam. I truly believe it will aid in their success tremendously.

I will do this but with some reluctancey, i don`t like Steam , probably because I`am Old School and prefer the DVD, but under stand why Developers want their game on Steam , ! Just one thing though , i found this and how Steam add ons ? can make a game for some unplayable, this refers to the what i think was a game that was released to early with a Million bugs a game that does not even get near the playability of TW 2006 never mind 08. The Golf Club
Quote :"I was having a problem with the game just locking up and crashing, or freezing for 30-60 seconds between shots before starting back up.
Turning off Steam Overlay makes the whole UI much more responsive.
Framerate is still low (30 fps at 1920x1200, high settings on an Nvidia 660ti). But the game is now playable for me, where before it was a mess.
To turn off the overlay, right click on the game in steam, select PROPERTIES and uncheck the box for "Enable the Steam Overlay while in game" Unquote
I have edited this as higher up i noticed that Steam will not be the only option of Distribution for PP good because I for one would pay £10 more to have a DVD version and not have Steam installed on my Computer.

Just to reinforce the value in this...
See the news post about PerfectGolf being Greenlit on Steam:
http://www.perfectpa...-games-ever-r62
Here's some additional feedback on being Greenlit vs. being ready to release on Steam:
http://www.perfectpa...nd-gone/?p=9450
Overall, PerfectGolf is built on Unity, which runs on a lot of different platforms. Distribution via Steam helps provide a platform-agnostic solution for non-console or non-mobile device distribution. The rationale for a boxed version of PerfectGolf can't be justified at this point.
Again, we can't stress this enough: this wouldn't be possible without everyone's help. Thanks for voting!
