Ahh I see. You’re right, I forgot about that.

I can’t test it now but I think if you cycle through the clubs or something you can force the splash option to come up for a wedge.
I’m pretty sure I’ve splashed out of fairway pot bunkers when I was quite a distance from the green. Can’t remember how though.
If it’s not possible it should be fixed.

Sorry to take this further off topic...haha

Let us know. The waste bunker I used must be on each side of the line. Agreed, you should be able to splash out if you're on the fairway side too.

So I think I'm going with the normal grass planting technique. The "bunker" was removed from the spline (Thanks K11) so I can plant on the islands. The individual planting of quads is just too much work and might in the end be to heavy on performance.

The grass textures is not raised and planted about -0.3 below the mesh. Think planting in clumps and doing it sparsely would be the best option.  Lots of colour variation along the bunker edges due to the overlay texture and the ruggedness of the bunker edge. I could make it better in Gimp but not sure it's worth the effort...

Yes, started it long ago and stop working on it. Decided it's a good course to try stuff out like the overlay technique but it's a bitch to plant grass on and make it look okay without too much lag.  Still some interesting 3d stuff to try.

It's fun to play too :)
