Really looking good. It's amazing how the lidar so closely matches the actual terrain along those cliff holes. Can't wait to see th finished product !!!

Looks nice, hope you have hazard stakes up on top of that cliff in picture 1 up there ^. I played one course a guy made, Grand Canyon I believe it was, and there was no way to ever get back up to the fairway once you hit one down in the bottom of the canyon due to him not marking the canyon as a hazard and the cliff was too tall. lol

Looks exceptional from here. No worries about the overlay, I'm not doing it either, I finished all my holes when the overlay technique hit the forums. Maybe my next one.

Funny but I really like that path!

These pictures look fantastic. You’ve really cracked that desert look. I can’t wait to see the finished article.

Nice course in the usual fine Skunky quality :) I have one issue though. I get quite a lot of flickering and artefacts occur from distance at the textures which disappear if you get closer. At first I thought it might be connected to active weather or some other graphic setting but none of the changes really helped to make it better. Same happens at your fantastic rendition of Pasatiempo but not to the extent it's seen at Sand Hollow. No problems with most of the other courses I've checked for comparison.

Is there a solution to minimize these kind of effects?

luetze, what your seeing is ,i have the pixel error setting pretty high which causes the mesh to stick thru in the distance,i could lower this setting and get rid of the problem, but FPS would suffer quiet a bit.ill experiment a bit and the next version i will lower a little so its not so obvious.

if you install the reflective water patch,it will fix the flickering with dynamic sky on.

Hi Skunky, thanks for your reply and the explanation. Glad to hear you plan to experiment a bit with the pixel error setting. It might be worth to trade in some FPS to minimize the artefacts. I'll check out the refelective water patch.

Thanks again for your great work. It's always a joy to play one of your courses  :)

Some of those holes on the back 9 took me back to a Links fantasy desert course.  Thought I hit a perfect ball to the drop shot par 3, watched it roll back into waste, re-hit onto the green, then putted off it twice into the same waste for a 10  :P And hearing some Aussie culture around the turn was a nice touch.
