Decided to consolidate this stuff into one thread moving forward so it's not scattered all over.

I personally enjoy keeping a pulse on what they are doing or adding or changing over there, as it's likely whatever is "next" will show up there at some point one would imagine.

That's pretty much the whole crew that developed JNPG.

The Bethesda pic is one we have seen, called, A misty Morning at Bethesda C.C.

showing a fairly close view of the 3d grass. The other is a real life pic of

the St. Andrews bridge.

I know this is long ago water under the bridge, but I just can't understand why Mike & Andrew wouldn't have made a pinned post at some point in time truly announcing this change in their lives/role/ the company, etc.

 

It's like actually something that's cool and to be proud of - hardly to be avoided and obfuscated.

No offense but I think your seeing stuff your eyes want you to see because I see no such bumps in that picture above. It just looks like a good texture and that's it. I see no grass or any kind.

I'm not the only one here who thinks Andrew and Mike could give a rats butt about us anymore. We do not make them hardly any money any more to spend any time with us. Simulator golf and the hundreds of thousands they make off real pros and real golf clubs is where they make their money now so we are just water under a bridge. I ABSOLUTELY have no faith in them anymore.

Good find Neal. I will agree with Joe that there is not 3d grass in that. I would say the tell tale is the bunker edge closest to us in the picture.

If there was 3d grass, it will show above that edge. You can see it in some of Mike's other images on the grass.

It does show the increased waviness to the bunker edge though, which is part of their newer CF.

We can do that now you just need to add more points to complicate the shape more, nothing in that picture shows me anything of a newer CF or game because they could add more golfers to the range by doing just a slight bit more coding on the original engine. I'm not trying to be a negative nelly either.

 

I do happen to see a golfer in a skirt though on the range and I doubt it's hacker harry, could be hacker mary?

I think the terrain and texture work here looks very nice and realistic
Nothing dramatic or world changing - just a positive comment about something I think looks good.

PG2 is prob the reason many of us stick around here...waiting for news and scraps like this to feed on.  I just think that Trackman have their exclusive and obviously very good product and they now have PP with  PG 2 as their premier software to compliment and complete their package.  They have no intention of sharing that with PC and console gamers.  Think of it like this, the upper class never associate with the great unwashed, and they certainly don't share anything with them.  This wait is futile i'm afraid.

Yeah, this should pretty much show everyone where the Jones brothers efforts and time are being spent.    You have to be nuts to think that PG2 will be released for pc or console. 

 

The driving range is pretty cool though... looks like multi-player simulation driving range!
