I’m doing a course but when I test it the loading stops at 50%.
I’m sure I’ve read about this before but can’t find it on the forum.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

I think it’s a pin that is not on a green or something like that

Cheers. It’s weird as I am just converting an existing course to 3D grass so haven’t placed or moved any pins......not on purpose anyway. I’ll check it out. Thanks.

What a numpty. Saved new scene as 3D....instead of 3d.
Problem solved.

Theres nothing worse than spending many hours on a course design and then either the dreaded 40 percent or 50 percent load crash.

the worst

In the last days and weeks I again had a 30% crash several times. That was always after throwing in some Megascans PBR materials which simply let me reach a texture load limit it seems. When I then changed some texture's resolutions or crunched them to reduce the load a bit the course loaded fine again. For such a case I again recommend a little script called "Resource Checker" which simply lists and let you pick your textures, materials and meshes by size and shows how many times these are in use. So you easily see where you could optimize things.

It’s proving difficult to get a good look. The overlay image has a big variation in the colours of semi rough and rough. Not matter what I do it’s either stubble or sparkle. Started playing around with a texture rather than overlay for the semi. On the plus side the FPS is massively better with 3D grass instead of the planted grass.

You know it's kind of funny when you mentioned your 50% load of your course. It reminded me of the Royal Melbourne couse that was released last fall and it would download to 50% for a lot of people and after a certai time laps it would return to the home screen. A handfull of people could download and play it. Obviously the issue you were having was of a different nature. I first thought it was the Win 7 platform I was running at the time of the RM release but not so. I am running PG on Win 10 again with a 1060 dual fan, 6gb card and 3.4 intel processor with 32 gigs of ram. Great frame rate on all courses but RM still only loads 50%. I have no idea why.
