Oh yeah... very fitting. Tom was a genuine, real deal. So much talent... sad to see him go before his time, IMO.

That was what really bothered me about Tom Petty's passing...he was still making great music (i.e. Mojo, Hypnotic Eye). My children and even my grandchildren loved Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers music. We went as a whole family to see them live a few years ago and had a blast.
I'll always remember Tom Petty's music as a soundtrack of my life.

The first time I ever heard or saw Tom Petty was when he appeared in the movie "FM", they were interviewing him in the station studio and playing "Breakdown". I did more research on him later. I've got four or five Tom Petty & The HB's albums and CDs in my collection. I loved his duet with Stevie Nicks, Stop Draggin' my Heart Around. The man left a legacy foe show!

I saw Bob Seger live in 1968 when his band was called the Bob Seger System. He was playing at a Friday Night Dance in the gymnasium at Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods MI. His big hit at that time was "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man".
Here's a little tidbit of trivia about Bob Seger:
"Bob Seger fronted his band The Last Heard from 1966 - 1967. By 1968 the joke was that 'the last heard' sounded like 'the last turd' so they changed their name to the more progressive and contemporary-sounding Bob Seger System."

Kicking off the New Year with some new music.
Almost 45 years ago these four guys were responsible for starting me out in a career in audio. This past year we got together again and this is what came out of it.
Excuse the cheesy slide show, I recently discovered that my digital audio workstation software can also do basic video editing so I put this together for the guys.
Hope you enjoy.
