My free version of Unity 5 is also the same grey skin as Unity 4.6 was. I can live with it...lol.

I am using Google Sketchup to create my 3D landscape and Unity 5.
I have imported my 3D landscape into Unity and need to use the plugin Object2Terrain to drop the landscape onto the terrain, but O2T doesn't seem to work. I suspect that it's because I'm using Unity 5 and it isn't compatible with O2T. Please can anyone come up with any suggestions?
Many thanks.

I am using the object to terrain and is working fine in U5. Use the C# script from this page

My script is just in the asset folder and not an Editor folder and works there.

I guess not then.
Anyway, I decided to give this program a go. You create heightmapped images using World Composer, which are exported directly into Unity 5 using Bing maps. It's half price (£30/$45) at the moment through the Unity asset store.
The support of the program designer is excellent.

Watched the demo Knighters and the program does look promising.  REALLY hope the Devs here get Terrain Forge off the ground.  Would help immensely in this same area.

Any suggestions as to why the trees turn

a bluish color as I plant to a certain distance?

I asked Jim in a PM but he can't re-create the

happening. I tried the broadleaf Speedtree that

came with Unity and this does not occur.

The trees are from the Summer Package which I

have deleted and re-imported with no change.

Could I also please have some Kittens or Frogs?

NO not right now. The ASCPA is all over my ass because of you and K11. They're threatening to report me to the USDA, having my 'export license pulled and the UK branch is threatening to have UK Customs confiscate all of my shipments. Some ridiculous rumor about you guys using the frogs for 'chipping practice' and 'wringing the necks' of kittens. I'm keeping trying to explain that you use them strictly for 'medicinal purposes', mainly 'stress relief', but it's becoming a hard sell.

Give me a few days to develop Plan 'B'. I'm getting close. I think that if I replace the 'grass bedding' I use with 'marijuana leaves', I can disguise them as 'drug shipments'. Should cut my losses by at least 80%. Everyone knows that most drug shipments make it through with no problems. Hm, I think I may be on to something, or is that 'on something'. Oh well, I'll figure it out. Hang tight!!

Thanks for having a look,  I guess I could

name my course The Blue Tree Golf Club,

and remedy the situation.

K11, That small frog simply won't do, I used a PW and

he hung on and flew with the turf, and hopped away

when it landed. If you send more small ones,

send a bag of tees along to.

Richard, I like Plan B, but K11 and I could possibly

become attached to the little cuties with the Red eyes

and the Munchies, then your buisness would be

Out Of Buisness. I'm sure you'll think of a solution,

and soon I hope.

Sorry. That was a putting frog.

If you want more, I know a guy who specialises in driveable toads:

Thanks K, Looks like I'll need an Oversized driver for those.

Anyway, I found the problem with the Blue trees.

I had the Billboard Start too low, after I increased

the value things worked as expected. (Don't I feel humbled).

Jim, if you see this I got it sorted, and thanks for

trying to help.

Boy I'm on a problem roll today.

Now that the Blue Tree syndrome is cured I now

notice that my trees seem a bit dark compared to

a Unity Speedtree, unless the camera is close. From a distance a lot darker.

I have tried  fiddling or finagling with the Directional Lighting to no avail.

I hope there is a simple solution as I am out of

Frogs.

I am no expert on the tree creators but there are 2 types of creator 'SpeedTree' which is the lighter tree and 'Unity TreeCreator' which is the darker tree. I think the difference is to do with either the different textures used and or the shaders used but like I say I am no expert...far from it

Cheers RobC
