I think some guys here will like the idea of being able to play in an environment with "3D grass" and also using the 3-click swing option.

I've found that grass makes PG look 3D!

Use the word 'volumetric' instead of 3D Buck. You'll get less of a negative reaction. ;-)

But you have to be careful. Found this old golf ball on Florida Glades earlier today. That grass really takes over.

Even on the hardest mode, this appears to be even easier and more simplistic than The Golf Club. Ugh.
(Big fan of lots of levels - But I was hoping the hard mode would be *much* harder than it looks like it is)
Guess my best hope might be NVIDIA turf and that controller integration for PG some day down the line.

I and you are also reading posts on other forums that on the Custom mode the swing difficulty can be increased with tempo heavily influencing the shot results (similar to PG MS).
I'm going to reserve judgement on the game until I have a chance to play the game on my PS4 next week.

Agreed on needing to wait and try it - But the one thing that's consistently mentioned is that the shots are usually off in distance when mishit and very rarely in direction (on max difficulty). That's a bit concerning.

Yes, that is not what I wanted to read.
Hopefully, since RM will not be an annual release, they will continually tweak the game to try and please the community (arcade and sim) like PP and HBS are doing with their games.

I agree. The custom swing options do make tempo a big part of the distance hit but still too easy even on the hardest settings. Even though the swing animation is integrated into the stick there is seems to be no "feel" to the swing. And putting is terrible in my opinion. Unless I am missing something, the putter head comes back about 1 foot for every putt be it a 10 footer or a 100 footer. There is no feel whatsoever to the putting. Just figure your distance, bring putter back til circle fills up and hit it. You don't even have to look at your golfer when swinging. I will play some more today and post what I find. On short green side shots it basically sets the shot for you unless there is a way to turn it off. Hopefully there is a way.
