K,

Are you using a wheel/pedals or either of XBOX or PS4 controllers?

I'm using a PS4 controller at the moment. It works fine if you reduce the steering sensitivity, but it's not ideal.

K,

I too suffered the same and no end of tweaking got me anything like a driveable setup, especially with quicker cars. On the PCARS forums a few folks are posting controller configs and I've gone with the following, which is much improved on the default setups.

Steering deadzone - 5
Steering sensitivy - 0
Throttle deadzone - 5
Throttle sensitivy - 0
Brake deadzone - 5
Brake sensitivy - 0
Clutch deadzone - 5
Clutch sensitivy - 0
Speed sensitivy - 70
Control filtering sensitivy - 40
Force feedback - 90

Controller Input Mode 1/2/3 - Doesnt matter as you have already changed all the settings above ^^^
Advanced settings - on
Soft Steering Dampening - On
Visual Wheel Filtering - Off
Opposite Lock Help - Off

Hopefully it makes your experience more enjoyable.

PS. sorry to everyone for taking this cyber Rory Golf thread a little off kilter, lol.

;)

Not sure if everyone is keeping up on this.

Some new videos came out on Wednesday.

Check out this at time 00:24 (gameplay clip)

BLOODY GORGEOUS in my opinion.  Trees are magnificent, FPS appears very smooth, grass looks great, the rough actually looks like rough, etc

Edit:  Here's one more with a quick glance at putting:

Sure hope U5 upgrade can close the gap a little in the feel of the environment and grass, etc.

The lighting of that Frostbite engine is incredibly capable.  Awesome to see all the different "Types of days" it seems to be able to render very beautifully.

B,

You've posted the same URL twice. Didn't see no putting on the second link.

No interest in buying a PS4/Xbox One or this game.  Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being as buggy as TW14 and the previous EA Tiburon versions.  Graphics aren't everything.  The game more than likely will lack a true simulation mode.  All of the real courses revealed so far have been in previous versions.  No thanks.

Does look really, really nice... probably the nicest looking golf game to date.  Can't get anymore sim without meter, aids, etc. and just using the thumbstick for power and direction... cool to see they stuck with 3 click as well.  Seems like this game has something for everyone.

BUT... I won't be buying a ps4/xbox just for this game....

I swore to myself a number of years ago that I wouldn't waste my money on yet another TW golf game. The change to RM won't make any difference to my promise to myself, although it does look nice.

As I already have a PS4 for my NHL video gaming, I'll give a report when my preorder comes in July.

Sounds like I may need something besides PG to get my 3d grass fix in 2015
:-)

What's wrong with TGC?

What's wrong with TGC?

I'm just not into it.

They need more settings to tweak the difficulty in my opinion.

(Totally tapped out on the "play impossibly and unrealistically hard courses to make it harder" argument from the TGC crowd)

I'm really hoping Rory has something like the Sim mode that '14 had.

Loved that.

Plus I like the look of the Rory game more than TGC from what we've seen so far. It also looks fun to play some PGA events and real courses, etc, for a change for a bit

I really dig playing real courses - not sure why, just do.

Finally some long gameplay footage (but not on the hardest mode...)

Irrespective of thoughts about EA & # of courses, etc - it's really hard to deny the polish of the "on the tour" feel and atmosphere.  Very very alive feeling with the people milling around, great sounds, etc.

Additionally, I really hope that PG will eventually better emulate the "look" of the ball as it rolls on the surfaces.  I feel that the golf ball simply "looks" more like it's rolling on grasses in these Rory clips.  (or at least it's fooling my mind well - haha)

What was that reaction all about after holing that 7ft par putt, lol.

Also, check the grooves on that 3 wood, lol. Stopped quicker than a 60 degree wedge.

Does look like the game has some nice touches though.

...considering in PG we so far have no reactions to anything, period...hard to toss stones

I guess I was hoping we could have a discussion in here about the good parts...  (more like your last line)

There are lots of things that PG could definitely use as inspiration, especially the interface & atmosphere aspects

One thing I would really really like at some point is a visual Motion Swing feedback system (after the swing is complete is fine - and during practice swings).  Make it an aid, whatever, I don't see it as a huge "edge" to simply be able to evaluate what you're doing right/wrong as a round goes along.

Consider it "talking to you caddy about your swing" or something...

I still think PG ball physics are better than Rorys game right now, just wait till final rel.

That said, Ani is much more polished than PG and the crs eyecandy is more attractive
