Dedication at it's finest ;)

Not the shrapest knife. It did take some time for me to equate the time per credit thing. And a lot of the time it was stuff running in the background while I was doing other things, but still a shock when I put it all together.

So please don't judge me harshly for being slow. :)

I've been playing WGT for nearly a year now. While I like it and get a lot of enjoyment from it it is quite expensive. You can play for free. But to advance you need to buy clubs and balls. You can spend your own money or earn credits. Now earning credits takes time. I probably have averaged about 200 - 250 credits an hour. That comes out to $2 to $2.50 and hour. What is minimum wage now?

I have spent about $400 worth in "free" credits. I think that this might be a clue on why I'm here. I hope that this game will not cost an arm and a leg. I have banked enough credits to last me untell the end of the year, so I hope that this will be out by then.

I've been playing WGT steady for the last year and a 1/2. I've gotten all the nicest equipment I could possibly need and have yet to spend a single dime on that game. Survey's and videos have paved the way for me just fine. You just have to put forth the effort each day and apply yourself and not bitch about it and you'll be just fine...LOL

Links 2003 has what 800 or so courses available for download as does TW2008.  I do not think courses will be a problem.  Designers from both TW and Links will have courses coming out every week.  IMO A annual or monthly fee is not going to be a problem for most players.  Heck I paid a fee for the LSPN Tour and rented a Hamachi server for 32 players for TW-08 so I could play online this year.   I am retired so I gotta have something to do.LOL!

All golf games are not created equally and each players opinion is not created equally.  Yet we all seem to survive somehow.  That is all I will say about golf games.

Davefv92c hope all is well with you my friend.

here ya go DAZ i was talking with a friend today who was being honest with me he is a level 52 and he told me his clubs cost him 50 bucks

and i cant remember what he said a sleeve of balls cost but he did tell me if you hit any in the water they are gone maybe they should also sell ball retrivers.lol

oh i know why it would more then likely be to hard to get the ball out of a pic of water.lol

he went on further to tell me as he moves up in levels he will be buying more clubs as they come unlocked. what a hoot you get all that for free.lol

just another game where the guy with the money wins the game, i sure hope this is not what is going to happen here

like i said before if they took the free out of it then only the guys with deep pockets would be playing

I'm at level 100 on Wgt. I've spent a total of $20 in the 3 years i've been playing and i've had 4 different sets of clubs in that time. Started off by doing a few surveys for free credits and now i keep myself in new clubs and balls by playing tournaments and matchplay games.
