Agree with Richard on this one.
Unless you must have a laptop go for the desktop!

Ya for $800 u can have twice as good a desktop system that will do good for 3-5 yrs
Twice the specs of that laptop for 3/4 the price
Example:
Cpu i5 @3.5...If u can spring for i7 DO IT
Gtx 960
8 gig ram
240 ssd
750 corsair pwr supply
Case ........all for $800......look for barebones rigs...just add OS, newegg.com

750 W Corsair pwr supply ⛳️ Octacore AMD FX9590cpu with 110i GT cooler @ 5.0 ⛳️ ASUS Strix 1080 vid card ⛳️ 16 gig 1866 DDR3 ⛳️ Samsung 840 HD-SSD ⛳️ Dell 22in 1080p AND 40in and 65 in Samsung Monitor 4k HDMI-to HDMI on card ⛳️ Win 10 pro 64 bit ⛳️ MSwing Pro and Tour Pro

I have to kind of laugh. I thought the topic was Computer Laptop Recommendations. I'm assuming if he wanted a desktop he would have started a new topic? Or at least hijacked it and asked for desktop recommendations. That's kind of why I responded with a laptop recommendations :D

2.5 GHz Intel Core i7– 4710HQ

Nvidia GTX 970M 3GB GDDR5

You are correct. However, I chose to suggest a desktop because in my opinion, a laptop is generally not a good choice. It locks you in too much.

Cool stuff guys. I want a lap top so I can take it and play at work on my breaks. Been waiting for a good golf game for a long long time. $1300 isn't that bad for something you like to play , plus I can play the golf club game as well

Good stuff

Well I have the Asus Republic of Gamers G751JT-CH71 17.3. It has the GeForce GTX 970M. They are true gaming laptops. It's nice to be able to take it wherever you want to. These aren't your ordinary laptops.

You won't be sorry if you go with one of the Asus ROG's

Not many of those laptops have dedicated graphics cards listed but a few do. If you can customise one with at least 8GB RAM, an i5 Processor at 3.2GHz or higher and a graphics card that scores over about 500 ave fps on the table at the below link, then it will probably do an ok job.

You might have to wade through the Dell options and customisations to find something appropriate though. Avoid integrated intel graphics chipsets.
