I don't have early access, so the Rory screenshot is smaller and a bit more "pixelly" than it normally would be if on your actual TV screen.  Also, since I don't have Rory yet I can't perfectly match weather or time of day settings, so I just tried to be close.  

 

Also, I did put PG at 1080p and maxed out all sliders and settings. (I think that's what Rory will run @ on PS4 - not sure and this screen is XBONE)

 

Finally, I tried to make the shots about the same size roughly.

Who cares about different engines or platforms?

(PG is going to be on consoles too at some point anyhow and will then be head to head competing for dollars)

As title says. "Graphical compassion of a common course/hole"
Just doing as close to apples to apples as I can to compare how each renders the same location and situation.

Why can't we do that?

Buck, if you are so enamored with EA's Rory's game, just go and play it. You views on PG and it's graphics are very well known by now and the development team is striving for improvements continuously. What more do you want? Constant posting, criticizing or moaning the differences is not helpful, IMHO. Your message was received many posts back.

Fact is I own EA golf games back many years and any system you can name and I won't buy Rory. EA golf games are no more than Arcade and why bother with a game where 52 is the norm. If you want gameplay and great graphics it's PG and if you want great graphics and certain boredom go get Rory.

This was strictly meant to be a graphics comparison (that's why I titled it "graphical comparison")

 

PG keeps looking better, but can always strive for more - and I thought a comparison of the "same scene" would be interesting to see how they rendered them differently.

Nearly identical wind meters

Something fake about the shadow on the EA player - his shoes aren't casting a shadow. In fact his entire shadow doesn't look consistent with the trees - wonder what's going on there.

Spot the pissed-off dad in the crowd - obviously pissed that his boy only has 3 holes left to make the cut despite being on the 13th.

We are here to make suggestions to improve PG.

You don't think you can garner any insights or ideas for Perfect Golf from other games in the same genre?

 

(especially comparing the exact same golf course and how "the other guys did it")

Buck, I don't believe that the Dev's want ideas from some other game.

They have their own ideas about how they want this game to be.

Plus suggestions from this community whom want to play PG.
