I really like the new maps app but overall it seems a but sluggish compared to Mountain Lion.
I have a 2011 iMac with 16Gb RAM

I haven't upgraded yet, Bruce. I'm a late adopter who sits on the fence as long as possible with these things - and who grudgingly evolves only when and if there is no other choice.
I still would like to hear from others about this, though.

The two major things that affected me were:
- Tags, tags are amazingly useful for organizing files by context.
- Battery life, it doesn't effect older models as much, but I got about an extra hour almost.
