Tour Pro - 3Click

Not very good at it, but I enjoy the challenge (I get a lot more strokes per green fee)

My signature says it all. I seldom get anywhere near even par or under, but I enjoy the challenge of Pro level.

I flip-flop between Beginner and Hacker when using Real Time Swing - Controller.  Even at that my best score for a 9 hole round is 44   This is with real time controller swing in its infancy though.  I think by the time they get it refined, it will be my go to control method.

When I play 3-click control, I use Pro difficulty, which usually puts me around par.

Tour Pro Motionswing.

Event settings as per the new level, but practice with off/off to help make the switch to on the course feel less sensitive.

Mostly 3-click Amateur.

For me it resembles a good PGA tour player standard where I can shoot par or on a good day a 65. I like to play tough courses with tough conditions.

What I would like is to play my full shot, long game on Amateur and the short game (pitch/chip/putt) on Pro or even TourPro. That would bring everything more in balance for 3-Click. :)

I go Moderate Moderate whatever difficulty that is but it becomes Custom cause simplified putting is on

fvk084.jpg

Thinking of making it more difficult because I am getting 4 to 5 under par pretty easily. Problem is I cannot hit a straight putt I lock my arm when doing a serious putt and try to move it straight up and down but on Woody's I cannot even hit a straight putt unless its less than 1 inch lol AND it does not consistently go left or right that ends up being random. So the most important thing the play experience is enjoyable but getting a lot of -5 under par I am going today to try it with taking simplified putting off. Knowing the amount of ooomph to put on the putt helps cause I have the putting bar thing - I use motion swing but going to get rid of the ooomph bar  and then probably won't get under par I miss 5 foot putts still too.

The main thing is how enjoyable it is no so much the hardness level I can still miss greens and fairways each shot I must concentrate on but I don't get 5 shots in a row where I concentrate real hard and try my best and then all those shots suck who wants that ?? !!! If I wanted that I would play golf outside - And I have zero desire to tweak and tweak and tweak my mouse settings so I can play it at pro level or higher spending eons of time figuring all that out I may do that it what I am doing now is to easy but it ain't whoo hooo

Horizontal Motion Swing. Amateur is my default but I do play Pro some of the time.
Love the way you can draw/hook or fade/slice by speed and/or angle you move the mouse.
This is an awesome game.

As one plays the game more and acquires experience from beginner to Tour Pro, you'll find that hosting or joining a game with your Custom Hacker or Amateur player will be fun for all pick-up rounds.

When you are playing a regular Tour Pro player or Pro player who has set the game to either level, you need to be realistic before you join their game about your own experience. If they set the game to P or TP they are expecting similar skills at that level.

If a host has "any" for their settings they are expecting a fun, easy going round where everyone plays at their own preferred level regardless of the outcome.

The old days of "I am better than you" because one plays a higher skill level are pretty much gone. The only time a level is important is between friendly rivals (like me and Wizz or Zelma) or during Tournaments.

When I am playing a friendly rivalry round,  my settings are pure Pro or pure Tour Pro.

I never play tour pro as I don't like that you can only aim in the front view.

I totally agree about the front view, but I do play it once in awhile on the original courses.  I don't like losing top view for aiming but equally deterring is the amount of time it takes to setup a shot when there are many dog-legs on the course. Not patient enough for TP on a regular basis.

It's quite simple for me, if a game's too easy I loose interest, so the difficulty has to be set at a level that keeps me coming back in an attempt to improve. That's the attraction of golf in real life and so it is in this game. I play on Pro level (min/min) using RTS which is difficult enough and gives you that sense of achievement when you hit a good shot or have a good round.

As a decades long PC gamer, the difficulty level I use varies depending on the individual game. Some I want a bit more challenging, others, not so much.

Exactly I got it set on Dork level but its a challenge for me so I like it

You chaps just wait (but not long I hope) for the release of the RTS. I've never had so much of a challenge and so much fun with a video golf game.

I'm sort of in the J.H. camp right now.  On custom and trying to balance challenge with enjoyment.

I'm eagerly awaiting the RTS - as I'd like to switch my couch setup back to a more normal controller situation, lay back and relax!

What this question proves is each one of us choose the level we have fun with.  I enjoy a game difficulty that is more on the fun side than on the challenging side.  60/40 is about right for me.  I answered Amateur on the first page and I have recently started to hit my stride at ammy.  I can shoot 3 or 4 under par on a good day.  So until I start shooting 5, 6, or 7 under on a good day I'll stay at amateur.  At 69 years experience my competitive side has given way to a more for fun than my Studly-Do-Right side.

I think we all enjoy this great game because of the flexibility it provides each one of us.  So difficulty is in the eye of the beholder.

Oh great, as if motion swing tour pro level (no aids) wasn't hard enough for me.  ;)  Looking forward to it! :D
