My signature says it all. I seldom get anywhere near even par or under, but I enjoy the challenge of Pro level.
Excellent choice! I bet most people play at Pro level. ![]()

I play at Pro with 3-click and Hacker when playing Real Time Swing (Controller), which is still in beta. Since I've gotten my hands on RTS-C though, I haven't been able to play 3-click anymore, but haven't really been a fan of 3-click since 1998 anyway. That was the year True-Swing hit with PGA Championship Golf '99.

Currently Hacker MS, but experimenting with the jump to amateur. Problem here is getting good enough FPS to make a smooth swing.
Also, even though I feel I'm getting the mouse straight thru impact almost all shots go slightly left. Anyone else experience this? I tried a few swings on pro and they went horribly left, hence the reason I'm still on am. ![]()

Probably your downswing is a little too fast. If you go to the practice range you get a feedback after every shot. If your ratio is under 0.25 your shots will go left.

Ugh...
C'mon PP - Please bring some swing feedback to the actual gameplay on courses (as an option or an Aid)
This is a game, not a job....I'm not spending time on the virtual driving range, nor will loads of other people once the game is released.

Practice makes perfect. If you want be good, then the practice range is the best place to be.
If it is not your bag then that's alright but Tour Pro's spend more time on practice then they do on the course, that's why they are so good.

I'm happy to practice.
I just want to do it on the courses, with some swing feedback, and not on a virtual range....
...especially since you can't cancel out watching a shot in mid-air..
If they give the option to ESC out of watching the full shot/ball I'd be *far* more likely to use the range.
Who wants to be forced through watching an entire bad shot...over and over?

Since Tour Pro spend more time on practice than course and since PP seems to mirror this which evidently is great how we get more of the true feel of golf maybe we could be instructed on how to hook up some wires through our pc that arbitrarily would provide us with a stout electric shock to give us the feel of a lightning strike whilst playing so we could enjoy even more of the feel of golf.
Little known fact when King Arthur was trying to make a golf course and he ran into some conflict. King Arthur: There's a peace only to be found on the other side of war. If that war should come I will fight it! Other important fact. Read the Book of John in the Holy Bible.

Whoot Whoot!
Playing 3 click Pro, just netted a -2 in the 3rd round of Karen "Northern Trust Open".
And to think, I was considering dropping a level. ![]()

The vast majority of games are set to, "Any," which allows Beginner, and Custom.
Yet, somehow... the vast majority of responders claim to be hardcore, or at least playing on a defined level above Beginner.
Where are all these guys in the actual game lobby?
This is one of those things where the forum isn't well represented by the total scope of users actually setting up multiplayer games. Which is a little surprising, considering that there are not really a lot of regular players... at least not yet.

I'd like to be setting a "minimum requirement" for difficulty, but as I recall the last time I set a difficulty level in game options, it set *everyone* to the specified difficultly level...
When what I really wanted was to say set "pro level or harder/higher" in the settings.
Is this still the case?
(of course the custom thing remains a problem)

Yes. There absolutely needs to be an option for the host to convert the grouping to a "Custom" setting.
The alternative, of just making it a free-for-all, is wholly defeatist.
I mean, would anyone consider a Tournament that is setup on "Any" to be anything more than a Beginner level event?
