No actually he posted 3 times. Mike already answered his question about when. The answer was soon. That evidently was unacceptable and now he's throwing a tantrum.

Not so much a tantrum as the "squeaky wheel" approach, which I believe you are familiar with.   ;)  :D

Not me, but my friend Mr. White, and even he didn't post the same post within minutes of each other.  :D

Your stridency and persistence is admirable, Legerejeff, in a rather disturbing sense. But a watched kettle never boils and I have no bombs to drop. Pray leave me out of your crusade, irritating nagging will not hasten the advent of CF by a nanosecond.

Two weeks ago, during the Twitter broadcast with Andrew, we learned that the CF release was "very close".  The pot bunker feature, we were told, needed a bit of tidying up, which would take a day or so.  The licensing issues, we were told, had also been resolved.  Based on that information, one would think the CF would be in our hands by now.  I'm sure there is a legitimate reason (again) for the delay.  Sure would be nice if PP took 30 seconds to let us know so we're not guessing.

PP need to get plenty of information infastructure in place alongside the public CF release or there will be an awful lot of confused people posting an endless stream of problem posts on the site.

There have been plenty of issues for the 'hardened' beta testing designers to deal with so I can only imagine the chaos that may ensue when it goes public, especially with people who haven't familiarised themselves completely with Unity first, or haven't used complex creation software in the past.

I hope it doesn't just get hastily thrown out to the public like the 'finished' PG game was.

Well, I doubt they'll ever rid CF of all the bugs.  At least, not in the near future.  So, at some point, they need to cut the cord.  BTW, on the PP Facebook page, it says (as of June 1) that CF is ready to go.  All that is needed is to finalize the licensing.

There aren't many bugs in CF, but it's very easy to get in a mess, especially in Unity, and not know why, or how to get out of it. There's also no instruction manual for CF - just some video tutorials by Mike, and they don't cover everything.

Well, it's the public beta release, so I'd imagine PP anticipates getting feedback from users. Please don't give them another reason to hold back. After 3 years and 4 months, haven't we waited long enough? ;)

I believe the licensing delay isn't CF itself, as that is PP's own baby, it is the Speedtree content. If they released CF with barely any vegetation and trees to work with, I'm sure there would be whinging a plenty.

Yes, that's how I understand it. Andrew said on the Twitch broadcast two weeks ago that they had reached an agreement with Speedtree. So, that issue has been resolved. The holdup now is anyone's guess. By the way, what vegetation and trees have current CF users been using?

The stock tree and plant asset packages that come in Unity, a few that were part of the private beta CF or ones that they have made themselves.
