I think our ultimate goal is to tie in the live avatar motion with the control method. We have thrown around lots of different options and motion capture while great in some respects is limiting in others. PGA tour golf from sierra sports had for me the best implementation of motion swing as the player model actually changed his swing technique based on how you moved the mouse. I haven't seen this in any other golf game to this point as it's very hard to implement well but certainly adds an extra dimension to the real time swings.

Ok, I'm confused now, I thought you guy's were talking about 3 click and now you mentioned "motion swing". If were on the "motion swing" topic then I'm chiming in.. If not, I'll leave 3 click to the experts on that swing type..

Giddy Up!

That sounds great Mike. I still have my copy of PGA TG by Sierra.
Will we have the option to change the avatar's feet position, the angle of the club head and the ability to change the grip on the club? Together with live avatar motion this does away for the need to have a 'fade' or 'draw' option. For example you can set your player up to play a draw and swing the club accordingly.

It has always surprised me that certain people want to cheat when they are only playing a game, how good it must feel to know that you have won by cheating. But I suppose it happens all the time in real life so why not in games. True swing for me, I have always disliked clicking.

Ditto, true swing here also. It's just more like a golf swing when playing. I've lost to 3 click and I've lost to true swing guys, so really all the same if you ask me. And I also free edge swing [no aid] I've been doing it since 2001 so you get use to after a while, learning to lock wrist when going push thru motion for swing, anyhow just my view.

Contrary to what some might believe, it is possible with a lot of practice to be able to hit straight shots without augmenting the controller. Over the years I too have competed fairly well playing "free-hand" TrueSwing and Real Time Swing.

Maybe they need to use the edging so that they can compete with you and your 3 click macro.

Don't care if you believe me, kinda my point. Only kids need to cheat. I'm into a fun challenging round of golf, I don't need to win every round to have fun with it.

I'm a bit confused here.

Will Perfect Golf not have Mouse Swing?

It will have both a mouse 'click' swing and a motion swing.

Thanks for clarity!  :-)  Excited!
