Thanks Crow....I tried that, removed the folder (everything turned pink) and the menu disappeared. Reimported (everything looked good again), but CF still wouldn't activate. That did sort of give me a lightbulb moment though and...

Unity freezing and crashing must have switched the build platform! Switched it back....and joy!

My first course is ready for testing...I've just asked for the relevant access over at OGT. Once I have that I'll post it up and let people at it. Hopefully there won't be too many playability issues and I can release it soon.

Looking good, Ctrl+Alt+U removes UI, F5 to fly around using A,S,W,D keys.

 

Does this still work? It doesn't on my PC!

In Unity or the game? Seemed to work fine for me in the game yesterday to take new screenshot for my splash screen. I think you can use the arrow keys too move around.

Didn't go much off script for my first attempt, using the stock textures, trees and grasses....and didn't touch the layers library. I did download a couple of models (the clubhouse and the wall) and used K11's ballwasher and bin on a few tee boxes. Any tips, recommendations, feedback, anything really would be appreciated to help me improve my CF skills.

 

Although a fictional course, I tried to edge towards "real" as opposed to "fantasy" for my first attempt.

 

Weird thing now is, as I've play tested this course a lot, I might now rarely play it since I've started a new project....but releasing your first course seems kind of special. Thanks to PP for getting CF into our hands...creating this was fun.

Just played this with dynamic skies turned off and with this setting there were no shadows on the course.

It's dull and dreary Northumberland....we don't do shadows. I'll take a look.

 

Yep, I'd turned off shadows on the 'Directional Light'. Have switched that back to 'Soft Shadows', saved the scene and rebuilt the course. Played the first couple of holes with dynamic skies off and I see shadows.
