Well we finally released our first build on steam to our small group of testers.  It has a number of significant updates over the previous incarnations of Perfect Golf

1) Full Steam Integration

2) Full Multiplayer with online matchmaking and NAT Punchthrough (No messing with router settings)

3) New Enhanced Time of Day Visuals

4) All New User Interface, better organised, and reduced clutter in game

5) Fixed numerous bugs and memory leaks

6)  All new swingmeter and motion swing

7) Introduces the first two difficulty assists

And much more.  We are implementing limited animations this week.

I am sure some of the testers will be along with video and images but for now here are a couple

Below is a link to a very short video of a 'lousy' fairway shot. But at least you can see some action. This new beta version is a substantially improvement over the alpha versions previously tested. The PP developers have come a long way and are still working very hard to bring this game to early access on Steam. I can't give a date, because I'm only a tester, not a PP principal. However, my gut tells me, it will be sooner rather than later. We still don't have an avatar. But that too, I hope to see in short order.

Great news Andrew. Thanks for the update and looking forward to the tester reports. Those lights at the end of the tunnel definitely seem to be getting closer.

Weird, if I click on it either through the posted link or directly at YouTube, it's not blurry at all. I too would like other's comments.

Perhaps Dave means the blur behind the post-shot insert? If so, I'm afraid that some designer somwhere wanted it that way, and so this blur would be intentional.

Also, it's superfluous imo.

And undesirable.

Looking good...I see the course in the video is callrd Florida Glades but it looks like the 1st at TPC Sawgrass...Does this mean if we remake a real course we cant call it by its real name or is it just because its an in game course

Cheers RobC

Thanks for the vid.

Is there any kind of lie indicator?  I couldn't see one on the video.

I think Dave might be refering to the tree just left of centre behind the green. It's definitely blurry off the tee. I think it may be a billboard.

Well Mick,

It's a hell of lot better than:

"We finally released our first build on steam to the masses. Post back with any issues. We handle all issues on a 'first come', ' first served' basis. Currently the wait time for replying to your post is approximately 232 days. Please be patient".

As one of the 'small group' I can assure you that the testing and development activity is 'hot and heavy'. PP wants to make sure that when released, the functionality provided and the delivery method actually works. So to repeat myself, 'Please be patient'.

As far as I'm concerned, take your time, Id rather wait and have it right. Again trust me I want to play it too, but it won't be any fun all screwed up and not optimized right.

Just wondering will we be getting the courses that the Open is being played at, when the game is released ?

Also will be having our own Open Tournament at that course?
