Looks good but to be honest there were a couple there that seemed really close to the same thing. I just hope that this is for single play mode only and not turned based. Last thing I want is to wait for a guy to admire 10 different replays of the same shot before continueing.
A 2 hour round now just became a 4 hour one.

I feel the same way.
I play NHL 15 online and there's nothing more annoying than watching different angled replays of the other team's scoring goal.

Super point Glenn! I brought the suggestion of a shot clock timer that the host could set before the game, with some different intervals, say 30secs, 45 secs etc. Whatever is the norm for time in taking your shot.. Maybe that would cure anyone from watching their replays? Unless of course PG can have them auto turned off for Multi player..
Edit for shot clock: Of course you have to have the option to have it turned off when playing a round with a friend... Options..
Also, the shot clock was something that was in TWPC, not my invention...

I would just prefer it not be available in turned based. Its been so long since I have played tw in offline but I think replays were available in offline but I know its not available online.( I'm talking the pc TW from 08 and back not the console one )
Just too tempting for some to admire a shot over and over and over again. Yes the shot clock is not a bad idea but there are draw backs to it too. For instance if mother nature calls and there is no way your going to get through the back nine with out a break then if the shot clock is too quick then you get booted. Kind of mean when the circumstances are what they are. Common sense should be enough to not hold a game up any longer then needed to. I know that doesn't always get applied though. Worse about the shot clock was the intentional delay to get the boot if losing so it wouldn't count against them. That is just plain poor sportmanship but trust me I seen it done enough when EASO was online. If you can't lose with class then take a hike is my opinion.

Thanks for uploading the video Jimmy. Really love the atmospheric sound effects with the birds chirping and water flowing.
To make everyone happy, I think replays should be an option you can turn on or off (whether it be online or offline). If I'm playing with a friend it would be cool to replay a great shot that both of us would want to see again. I can understand someone not wanting to sit through a crap load of replays if they're playing against a stranger though.
Shot clock should also be optional (like it is in TW 08 PC). If I'm playing a round with a friend I really don't want to feel rushed, especially if I need to make a mad dash to the kitchen or restroom and end up being penalized a stroke due to the shot clock running out.
So many of these kinds of options were left out of the console iterations of Tiger. I would love to be able to customize PerfectGolf as much as possible to set up the game to my liking.

I forgot to add that option in my first comments about the shot clock. I will of course go back and edit it..
I think I only rarely ever used it in TW 08 PC but was trying to figure out a way to stop folks from delaying a multi player round.. I guess, if they screw around to much, just write their name down and don't play them again, that is the usual option i preferred back in the day...

We don't want to get this game to muddied down with minutia though.. I think my last option may just be the tried and true best.. Write their handle down and don't play them again.. That always seemed to work pretty well...

Larry you are so correct about a shot clock i mostly play TB with friends and the TWO shot clock was a good thing.
since i have been playing TGC i have pretty much given up playing much TB due to the time it takes others to set up and hit the ball
i myself might take 30 seconds to set and make a shot, but then again i have found over the years that to much thinking about a shot always cost me one way or another

A shot clock is not needed... play with people you know and who respect the rules of golf. Sometimes it is not the other person's fault, they could have a bad connection or live far away. If you can tolerate it, then play with them again... if the rounds turns out to be a 5-6 hours and you don't likethat, then you know not to play with them again.
This has never been an issue...

Right now there are three options, Player, Panoramic, and Follow. I am not sure if at some time Dynamic would be available that would be the camera option I would use. Right now I'm using Follow.

That's what I used to do.
i do the same when playing random players. but 95 percent of the time im playing with people i have been playing with for 4/5 years we use voice chat and the talk is good but to be honest it can be insulting to some both ways. so i just do my best to avoid playing with some due to their long set up times. hell one guy always want a cig break after the front 9 to go outside and smoke a cig and hell some people want a break to check their dinner which they are trying to cook at the same time they are playing, one time a guy said i will be right back and we waited a good 5min while he went and helped a neighbor hook up their cable. about the only time i will ask for a break in a game is if my dog is at my feet needing to go out and then i hurry his little ass up so i dont delay the game but a couple of minutes. the good thing about a shot clock is we always put together a myleague ladder and a lot of players need to play during the evening hours and without some kind of clock it can make a ladder tourney go hours into the night. so there are good and bad points about a shot clock.
i really don't think it would muddle the game up at all. after all options are a good thing

Well, I have already brought it up to the Dev's. I can go either way so let's see what they do.. As I said, they liked the initial suggestion so if they even ever do try to implement it, it wouldn't be in Early Access (EA).. So we will see, I'm not going to push it.. If they put it in then we would be able to turn it on or off.. So there would be an option.. Which is a good thing, I agree...
Thanks for the replies...

I also prefer a Shotclock because sometimes it sucks so much if others need hours for one single Shot. 30-45-60-90 sec. would be nice.

Don't forget, you can choose a second camera and the view will switch to this camera as the ball approaches landing. For example you can have a player cam followed by a reverse angle cam or a follow cam which switches to the landing camera etc etc.

Thanks Mike
I wasn't using the snap camera. I'm glad you chimed in here. So now I'm using the follow and using reverse for the snap camera and that is almost like the dynamic replay.

Hiya guys and thanks for the vid post InDaSkies.
Do you know if the dynamic camera is something that can be used alongside the motion swing? If i remember correctly, Links was never able to calculate the final ball position if using the 'real time swing' and therefore couldn't switch to the dynamic camera during gameplay and it could only be used on a replay.

R,
Using Mouse-Swing you can have either Reverse or Landing cameras enabled as your second camera (as you can with Click). This effectively serves the purpose of the 'Dynamic Cam' as you play the shot from the normal camera position behind the golfer and during the ball flight the camera switches to your choice of second camera.
MJ will have to explain how the 'real time physics' allows these cameras to know where the ball is coming down though.
