so in unity i have my ambiant sound. birds and such i can hear them in the editor. along with some traffic sounds by a certin tee box. that I can hear across my whole terrain even though I only have it set up on a small area by one tee box. if i hit play, or load up the game and i have no audio no birds.... cant seem to figure this out been on utube and googled the heck out of it. i have one audio listener on my main camera. any help would be great.

try this first
Then check your settings against these
First thing to do is make a folder in assets, drag your sound file into there
Then goto Game object, audio , audio source, this adds the game object into heirachy on left, then rename it to say what hole and where the sound is , so you know where it is, just to organise your stuff better etc, other wise there all over the place .
Now drag your sound file into audioclip in Inspector, then look at the global and the local sounds settings pictures and adjust them to suit, make sure audio source box is ticked, look at the difference between the settings and make sure you dont overlook anything
